  JW Elder quits & sends 900 emails

  an elder in quebec, has just quit as a jw.

  he did so by emailing nearly a thousand jw’s with the explanation for why he and his family are quitting.. i have spoke to him quite a bit, interesting guy.

  he’s quite the loss to wt, he’s an elder with a serious career in chemistry, a professor no less.. catch his story here, apologies if this has already been posted;.

  Suman Virk - mother of bullied and murdered child passes away

  i came across this interesting, sad article detailing a case of a runaway child who was murdered in canada.

  apparently she had been raised as a jw.

  there has been a lot of talk about how immigrants pose a threat to the safety of this country by increasing crime rates.

  is there any truth to this, or is it "fake news.

  Interesting point, statistics . Being illegal, would be a big incentive to avoid having a 'second strike and you are out' situation exposing you to ICE.

  Sadly there is home grown crime, but why increase the total crimes committed by allowing illegals to add to that?

  Local US police do not want to enforce federal immigration laws, because it would hamper their work in combatting crimes committed within the illegal migrant populations, much of which goes unreported anyway.

  In Germany pitched battles with death and injuries are fought in the streets by migrant clans on a daily basis; there does not a week goes by that young females are not raped, murdered by "New Germans" .--- very sad.

  "This Good news Of The Kingdom Will Be Preached In All The Inhabited Earth" ........

  ..".for a witness to all the nations and then the end will come" .matt.24:14.. the religion of jehovah`s witnesses kid themselves into thinking they are filling or have fulfilled this prophecy/scripture .. given that you take the jehovah`s witnesses and the international bible students association as one and the same religion , then they have been preaching their message primarily within lands that are predominantly christian based.....and certainly do not cover "all the inhabited earth " as their are many populous non christian nations nations that do not allow, even forbid any proselytizing in their lands.

  i would estimate about one third of the current world population.. but that is not all .. given that you take the jehovah`s witnesses and the international bible students association as one and the same religion ,then they have about 140 years of preaching their beliefs to the public specifically to preach "this good news of the kingdom " as they claim to do in obedience to j.c.commands at matt.24:14.. take a survey no matter where you live on this planet earth of the people in your locality and if you asked them "what was the message jehovah`s witnesses left you and no one would be able to say "they told me about and explained to me the good news of the kingdom" and what it would mean to me.. no one would be able to say that .after 140 years of preaching and witnessing by what is now 8 million plus jehovah`s witnesses .. what a waste of time and energy and lives .. after 140 years of preaching what do the public know about jehovah`s witnesses ?.

  they don`t take blood transfusions .

  ask any witness and they might be flabbergasted too, what the good news of the kingdom is.

  a) the kingdom of gods love by the son, Colossians chapter 1, ?

  b) the kingdom that invisibly started in 1914 to let loose the overlapping generation,? or

  c) the millennium, still praying for it to come.?

  Not to speak of the eternal king.

  Very devoted people in wt as there in other religions, sad. because doctrinal clarity, consistence is hard to come by in religions,-- if based on a children's book with talking snakes, donkeys, other fancy stuff.

  the org's fear theme has really been emphasized recently- the bunker video and now the convention video with jws being pursued by guys with assault rifles.

  this image comes from the watchtower july 2017 questions from readers: would it be fitting for a christian to keep a firearm, such as a handgun or a rifle, for protection against other humans?.

  the caption for the image is this: during the great tribulation, christians will rely on jehovah and not try to defend themselves.

  convention in lowell mass june 15-17 2018...about 4500 in attendance...11 baptized (0.24%)...believe about 6 of those were kids of current jw's..

  just to make the math easier, at a recent assembly in the Pacific North West, there was a figure of ~1% baptized, less than 5% of that new recruits. Not a valid baptism, not by people that knew what they were doing. No doves, perhaps bird brains though.

  Father forgive them, they do not know what they are doing.

  friday and saturday were for the most part pretty light, not too culty or doctinal, could easily suck in the unsuspecting.

  there were a couple of hypocritical lines that i took note of however.

  at one point the speaker said, "if your boss fires everyone who disagrees with him but promotes everyone who agrees with him, you might be tempted to agree with him just to keep your job.

  Have jws realized, that the production's slickness hides the fact that they, like Jonah , are being set up to be false prophets? duped , fooled into proclaiming a message that was never meant to be taken seriously?

  but, there is one hard and fast truth concerning jws and "generations" - that is, that many generations of jws have died without the realization of the hope they were promised.. there were many before my grandfather's time, but i'm going to start with his.

  his generation, his peers, lived at a time when jwdom was exciting, bold, confident, seemingly deeper and scholarly, seemingly genuinely concerned about the preaching work and saving lives.

  they'll have wonderful futures. It truly is unfair. Where is my reward for all my suffering? My reward is working a low-paying job until my body rots out from under me.

  that is where wt bears responsibility, and stands condemned. but

  others had their future enhanced though, helped out of problems, shyness, meeting on par pretty non-college girls, virgins even.

  There is a strange thing about old people, the people in their 80, 90, that they are happier than the young folks.

  They don't remember past predicaments unless they work at it. The generation question is a wt problem a real serious one*, but not theirs. If your mother is a natural 80 year old, and not in pain, having successfully reproduced, and have gotten to that stage, should make her content.

  The really scary, hidden thought for them is, that if the wt survival promise is wrong, the resurrection, immortal souls promise might be wrong too, so: do not bring the subject up, but concentrate the conversations on the good of life itself, the offspring. the spring.

  *I have seen only one attempt to seriously debate a glaring inconsistency of the current wt proposition.
