  JWs & "generations"

  we all know what a mess the jw "generation" teachings have been.

  but, there is one hard and fast truth concerning jws and "generations" - that is, that many generations of jws have died without the realization of the hope they were promised.. there were many before my grandfather's time, but i'm going to start with his.

  his generation, his peers, lived at a time when jwdom was exciting, bold, confident, seemingly deeper and scholarly, seemingly genuinely concerned about the preaching work and saving lives.

  There is a strange thing about old people, the people in their 80, 90, that they are happier than the young folks.

  They don't remember past predicaments unless they work at it. The generation question is a wt problem a real serious one*, but not theirs. If your mother is a natural 80 year old, and not in pain, having successfully reproduced, and have gotten to that stage, should make her content.

  The really scary, hidden thought for them is, that if the wt survival promise is wrong, the resurrection, immortal souls promise might be wrong too, so: do not bring the subject up, but concentrate the conversations on the good of life itself, the offspring. the spring.

  *I have seen only one attempt to seriously debate a glaring inconsistency of the current wt proposition.

  on top of that, a few here are hard of hearing. so, how about getting more ideas written down? for example:

  Since Jesus said the generation will pass away, once all has happened, when and how is that going to happen? in the so called "second fulfillment"?

  they explain that satan challenged god regarding his right to rule.

  imperfect men? failed to succed even on he perfect ones.

  fair contest? ?why then intervene by killing them, confusing their language? It is not supposed to be about who is the strongest, but it turns out to be about who is the biggest cheat, hobbling the other contestants. Bad screen writers that's all.

  how indoctrination works: i was dreaming tonight about the summit between trump and kim.. heard the bible text about "peace and security" and "disqusting thing at a holy place"in my head and my brains were calculating with the number 666 (=6/12, date of today).. this is no joke.

  since 1995 mentally out and since 2008 realy out, educated and reading quality stuff and still my brains do this crazy stuff.

  Not to worry, just a few days ago there was no saying of peace, security, instead squashed hands (Macron), fist on tables (Merkel), furled eyebrows (trou d'eau), no security, peace there.

  austria, a member of the eu since 1995, is a country of 8.8 million people with a muslim population of around 600,000 mostly turkish immigrants.

  in 2015 it passed an 'islam law' prohibiting foreign funding of religious groups and creating a duty for muslim organisations to have 'a positive fundamental view towards state and society'.. many mosques in austria have continued to receive money from turkish muslim organisations so the new right-wing government have decided to enforce the law.

  seven mosques have been identified for closure and 60 imams are to be either deported or refused visas.

  Td, thats interesting. The situation has progressed into a pretty bad state, especially given the german obession with law and order.

  Ha ha now that is really funny, yeah, the germans are so obsessed with law and order they will not prosecute a criminal fully, that has no fixed address, will not coordinate their eco migrant system, so claimants can have to up to 14 different accounts under different names in different jurisdictions. ( even Canada does not want fingerprinting to pin down who these individuals really are), Germans ere so bent on the letter of the law they have not been able to complete their airport in Berlin (BER) for decades (counting the future). sad.

  Almost all organic life had to die, drowned, not because of humans, but the orgasm desires of rogues in "god's" heavenly organisation.

  it would have been so much easier to isolate adam and his family then destroy the baddys through other means,rather than wipe out nearly all innocent life forms such as animals.

  Yeah, but as Kennedy said later " WE are doing this not because it is easy, but because it is hard."

  Noah is held up as a WT hero, taking on the impossible, totally avoidable task. (not so for JK)

  thought that myself: why no massive amounts of human skeletons if we find bones of giant beasts?

  and why were the mummies of that same time, or before ~ 2500 BC, -- in wooden caskets, not been soaked and landed on Mt Ararat too? No floating object older than that should have been left in place, and not destroyed by mould. Not to speak of the pressure, or turbulence.
