In 1923 I Almost Died
by TerryWalstrom inin 1923 i almost died.. don't get me wrong, i wouldn't even exist for another 44 years.. for a few seconds, on top a building, my grandfather stood with tears running down his cheeks and a small caliber pistol in his right hand.
if he had pulled the trigger, not just one man--one very depressed and hopeless man--would die; he'd take with him the four children his wife would never carry, their children (including me) and so on.
all of my children and grandchildren would never exist stretching off into the darkness of eternity itself.. it was on the way back from seagoville, near dallas, my grandfather told me about it the day he drove out to the prison where i was to be released on parole.____.

by krismalone inlawyer from canada watchtower branch reveals how the watchtower protects pedophiles.
he had the courage to speak up against the evil policies that protect pedophiles.
this video needs to go viral.

come to think of it, the prototype whistleblower, Joseph, kept his identity hidden too, until the right moment. Perhaps here too, WT will be made to eat crow. ( not orphan though).

If there was a resurrection in paradise
by Sour Grapes insomething that bothered me even when i was a watchtower company drone was the thought of dying and being resurrected in paradise.
would the resurrected person really be me or just a copy of me?
if god could recreate one of me, he could also recreate five of me.

only if humans were dramatically scaled down, could an open space, rural society exist on earth with billions of resurrected, and why bother the creator with the sordid details of all those lived lives? It is one thing to have to live with your own "flying off the handle" episodes, but the memory, ingrained personality traits of billions, and then to have the "books" and memory of their "new world" deeds opened? That is what I call carrying the burden of the sovereignty issue. not our problem.

Some more background information on Geoffrey Jackson
by Listener inborn in 1955 jacko was baptized at 13 years of age in 1968.his life story, printed in the august 2015 watchtower doesn't state the year in which he married, it's fairly general when talking about it.
hmmm, i wonder why?i've come across a recording of an interview with jacko at a hall dedication in another part of the us in 2009 which provides some further information.he married his first wife, jenny, in 1974 at the grand old age of 19. no wonder they didn't want to print it in the watchtower.unfortunately his first wife, jenny, was diagnosed with cancer in 1999.in 2003 jacko was sent a letter from the gb stating he was being transferred to hq and his wife would be given appropriate work.
he initially didn't know why they were being called to hq as he felt they were being very productive in their fijian paradise, he states that they brought 75 people into the truth.

Sbf: Loraini looks older than 34 in this picture. I'd say mid 40s.
true, but she is half his size and they wilt faster in the sun. I thought too that there was not anything untoward about that marriage after a 4 year cooling off period.

Faced with the reality of mortality
by stuckinarut2 inhow have you all coped with facing the reality of our mortality?.
most of us were raised to firmly believe we would never get old or die... so here we are now having to face the reality that are getting older... we are going to die.. sometimes it really pisses me off that we were never helped to comprehend this most basic of facts.
we were given a utopian dream as a "fact", and hence never taught how to face our inevitable futures.... thoughts?.

When I was young, , I had a feeling of invulnerability. that life would go on despite the odds I put in it's way, 13 motorcycle mishaps, landing outside the airport. skateboard speeds that can only be braked by bushes.
Now, body parts failing one by one, two already replaced, in defiance of "kingdom" promises.
Dying might be good for the human race, novel genes, ideas to the front. Most old people, even JWs seem to go satisfied, naturally tired, old in years.Never have heard an older one openly recriminating about not living on, not in that shape anyway, had some lucid ones joking though.

OC: ... I have given birth to two children...
Sincere congratulations. That was one way to pass along your contribution to the enterprise of life, ongoing, and your other good deeds.
Cruel as the African situation appears to us, having more offspring is the wrong reaction to recurring crisis, natural or man made. The other, migration, is in full swing, to the detriment of the host populations.
re Tsunamis. There is a news items on BBC, that on Sumatra, there were Tsunami victims 2000 years ago. Warnings are not enough?

quick question: When a governing body member dies, what happens to their spouse?
by Deltawave inwhat happens to the wife after their gb husband dies..
-
waton
If the GB member is over 46 years old, they are potentially overlappers, and as such upon their death are betrothed to The"Lamb", a marriage that is to be consumed not later than ~ 2075+. so with a husband going afield like that, the lucky widow, if not a partaker too, might seek consolation in the more down to earth field.(risking the wrath of a now powerful jealous ex-husband?)
I know of some slim pickings. weightwise.

@venus, Yeah, we do not have to wait for another " God is Dead" announcement to see, feel and hear, smell, taste his will.
