Single Sisters Over A Certain Age Group Getting A Bad Rap

i'm new here; one of my relatives was a member on this forum a few years ago and told me about it.

anyways, as a sister who has been in the org since childhood and now in her late 40's (plus as a woman of color), i have noticed that a number of brothers have an ageist attitude.

they are very accepting of young women under 26 and rejecting women over that age, particularly those in their 30's and over.. is this an unspoken mindset from wthq (specifically from bethel), or is it that quite a number of males (sorry, i'm not sexist here) have this type of mentality?

t-badu,thoughts??? -- you can not imagine how important a firm, young female is to men, no matter their age, but particularly older, but viril ones. Evolution at work. Mind control? yeah, matrons like to control each other. males like the glory of their youth re-lived. with none of the hang-ups of being a teenager.

Life is cruel to "single sisters of a certain age group", and in the grip of the second law of thermodynamics. (increase of disorder)

How much time and money did we waste traveling to meetings alone?

quick answer: way too much!.

this is something that really gets to me, all the way back to my childhood.

twenty minutes each way, three times a week.

plus going to the field service meeting and then into the territory, and drop of companions and home. at least 2 times a week unless you were pioneering, then a daily privilege.

Jehovah (the gb really), was always generous with the time devoted to him, in a useless work.

god has never been just one idea.god is always changing in the mind of true believers to fit the current situation.it's like a virus.

Good thing the Nazis did not have the undisturbed material and industrial might of the Americans. would that different result have been proof of their better doctrine? ideology? Can our individual contributions here even be compared to an all out war?

We all will become old[er], but whether we become losers would depend on our purpose , goal; so, define it well.

If there is a creator of this great place we live in, religions have not define him adequately.

Would This Be Adultery?

i just happened to read a news article from some months ago about doctors having performed a successful penis transplant.

the recipient lost his due to cancer, and doctors expect him to gain full use of his "new" penis, including sexual activities.

considering some of the more goofy interpretations of doctrine that the gooberning body trots out that the rank and file must obey under penalty of shunning i wonder if a man had this surgery, would he and or his wife be df'd for adultery?

It is actually a blood & volume issue. Past wt articles have pointed out that in a whole blood transfusion/exchange the life, some personality traits are transfused too. so,

that newly attached penis, particularly during erection, is fully infused with the new owners blood, with that fluid making up the biggest percentage of the volume inside the married partners organ, how could it be a dultery? certainly not a dull moment.

How can elders say how Jehovah feels?

when we look at the total universe imagine a jar of sand.

just one grain of sand would be our galaxy so we may be able to see our earth with an electron microscope.

with that in mind, it always made we cringe when at the meetings an elder would say "jehovah has prepared a spiritual banquet for us tonight," or "it makes jehovah happy that we made the effort to attend the meeting tonight.

If he's actually behind this he's a damn ignorant God figure.

figure he is not. but if he is the cause of all this creation, it speaks for itself.

Attributing wt material to the creator is blasphemy, perhaps using a middle eastern "walker in the garden" minor deity, and a supposed holy name thereof is demeaning to.

Pretending to know "god's" mind is elevating the speaker or writer to be his psychiatrist. good luck with that in the long run.

1942 in Austria, in a room housing 4 boys, at night, nature called, when the toilet was down the hall in the hotel, many sinks, but only one toilet. got caught and punished.

just a heads-up that i will be testing some updates this evening.. the nature of the changes means it's difficult to test every scenario in advance offline (translation: it's a lot more effort and i just can't be bothered) so i'm going to go with the "wing-it" approach:.

deploy, check for errors, try to fix errors before anyone else notices them.. i can switch between the new and old version pretty quickly so if there are significant issues, i'll rollback and revert the changes while i work on the fixes.

worse case is the pages won't display quite right (dates might be a giveaway) but a full page refresh should fix things.. http://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/.
