The problem of questioning or the lack of politeness

a forum is a place where people should be able to talk to each other, to question, to have meaningful interactions with others in a polite and educated way, to contribute for the growth of one another.

it seems that, here, there are some people who think that the others know nothing.

they have all the facts, all the truth and have the disrespectful attitude of ignoring concrete and respectful questions.

joao, Fischerman does not answer specific questions, because he is not able to, without being defeated in his wt defence. he never answers direct challenges. This impolite attitude*** is a tacit admission on his part that the position he takes is indefensible, untenable.

We need people like him on this forum to be able to show to all, how rickety the wt's doctrinal house of cards really is.

Stay around, drive the Fishermen of this world into silence. do not do a "cofty".

*** at least the original Fisherman , Peter, had the guts to admit, in writing, that others, outside the "then GB" had better, more profound, more advanced ideas.

Expressing with family thankfulness for all we have in this creation, and sticking to the formula set by Jesus' example, can we do better than that?

The point is that the length of “this generation” is limited to the age of the second group of anointed. Fm.

Fischerman, David Splane discussed the age issue, and volunteered, that older anointed than Frere Frederick Franz are, and will be out there. That would include clandestine partakers like yours truly, that rubbed shoulders with him in his last decade. so,

doing the numbers again: 2 anointed, reaching the not uncommon age of 100 (we have one in our congregation) and overlapping by 20 years each ( or being age 20 in 1914), gives a length of the two overlapping groups of contemporaries as 160 years, thus reaching from 1914 to 2074 for the start of the GT, 2075 for all having occurred.

Perhaps David and you wanted to emphasize how close, soon paradise is, but end up to sink the hopes of most that are alive now, and wt sticks to its 1918/19 slogan: " millions now , in 2022, living will never die, "will not pass away"

Jesus was specific in saying that the generation will pass away, and when, ---- after the GT, not before, as wt at present prophecies.

The anointed will have to pass away to go to heaven as did the Christ. wt Mission impossible.

the second group of anointed will not die off before the great tribulation. Nothing more is officially stated or implied.

Fischerman: that is the exact opposite of what Jesus taught about the last generation , all fulfillments.

He in effect, said that the last generation, overlapped or not, will pass away only after, or until the Great Tribulation, all, including the climax, has occurred.

Jesus puts the total of the Great Tribulation within the last old world generation, Wt/Fm excludes the GT from the anointed generation.

The "anointed" of 1914 theory has failed in all its predictions, get rid of it.

Bring on the YOUNG elders

there seems to be a push to fast track the younger men to become elders.

beings jesus was 30 when he took up his ministry, i would think that would sort of be an age gauge...the older men were to have their children in subjection, so some were old enough to have children that were old enough to want to rebel.

( that's my slant ) how will the ones who have been jw for years respond to being counseled by those younger than some of their grandchildren?

There are many function in the congregations where age is not an essential asset. They have to give the capable youngsters a meaningful rule among the often boring old guard.

My advice to one of those 21 year olds: "Keep your Christian Innocence" . He is not a "newly converted man", but wt promotion could go to his head. who knows there might be good trojan horses among those not loaded down with wt doctrinal baggage.

Did you ever meet someone born in the 1800’s?

i met freddie franz who was born in the 1880’s and many others from the 1880’s.

but as a very small child i remember someone very old aged 106 and that person was born around 1856 which means that he was around people from the 1700’s..

In my hometown in my youth lived both Adolf and Albert. Heard, but never met them, but it's safe to say that a quarter of the people around then were born in the previous century. Conversed with F .Franz, Br. Friend, even more bizarre old partakers.

At 91+, if you asked me if I belonged to that now gone generation or the newer crop, I would have to stay with the gone seniors. Does that make me an overlapper? my feelings do not render valid the overlapping overreach of the wt anointed generation .

D. Splane used FF's life as an example of long lived anointed, "serving" at age ~ 20, dying at close to a 100. He mentioned there are possibly partakers older than Fr Fr. .

Fr Fr died in 93, at the time, the wt prophecy for end of the generation, according to magazine headlines, was before the end of the century: 1999.

There is no new light The deadline was in the past before the death of Brother Fred Franz more or less.

Because the great tribulation dd not occur back then, the only explanation for that is that the definition of generation involves a younger age group living on borrowed time.

The only explanation is really, that the whole convoluted 607. 1914, 1919, 1918, 1925, calculation is meaningless, found wanting every time.

wt and its defenders should be now see the handwriting on the wall.

Being found to be false prophets confirmed again and again.

I’m only saying that overlap is valid and the last and only definition of generation left given 1914.Fm.

could it be said that a generation has passed until only one last member is left? drop the anointing, drop the overlap

The human lifespan is 120 years. 1914 -2034
There still may be 1000 110 years old alive past 2024
