18 he said: “go into the city to so-and-so and say to him, ‘the teacher says: “my appointed time is near; i will celebrate the passover with my disciples at your home.19 so the disciples did as jesus instructed them and prepared for the passover.20 when evening came, he was reclining at the table with the 12 disciples.. only jesus and his 12 disciples were present at the passover .if jesus wanted observers, he would of had some sit down at his last meal and requested that they be present that day and future passovers.

why does the wts feel that observers ( non partakers ) need to attend the yearly memorial?

“until he arrives”( to paraphrase the related verse) Obviously, the verse means that at some point it will stop so the interpretation is based on text not a wt dogma. In the meantime, how is the observation not based on scripture or inproper

Fm: can you point to a text that would put the second Christ's arrival into the post Armageddon era? because it is then that the celebration s supposed to stop.

The wt "observation" is not based on scripture, because it is supposed to be not an observation, but a partaking of all present. Jesus being the exception, because as the only anointed present he technically did not drink during the last phase of the meal. so at the last supper all the earthly sheep eat and drank, but the anointed abstained .

wt has it the other way around, the anointed partake, but the "you will never die" crowd, the earthly sheep reject the ransom.

You can not get it more wrong than that. wt does the exact opposite of what happened originally.

Fisherman, there is something fishy with that. it is improper.

Looking forward what wt predicts for the end of the century for the memorial then, is even more senseless.

then there will be no memorial at all. imagine, full springtime moon, and no communal wine.that is senseless. because

Jesus died to buy back what was lost. life in paradise. at the future time, according to wt, we will have regained the paradise we lost. but

we will not honor, be reminded of the gift that made it possible. because

according to wt, the memorial is all about them, the wt elite, who are scheduled to be gone forever, out of this world, at the great tribulation.

no elite, no memorial according to their current light.

may be that current should be interrupted.

not to be overlooked is the fact that the apostles, first recipients of the symbolic "flesh and blood" of John 6 . were only prospective anointed, had still an earthly hope, hope of an earthly Israelite kingdom ( read acts 1: 5,6,7.

all christians, even wt adherents, are prospective "sealed ones" of Rev.7, possible future "anointed", therefore following Jesus' action, all present should partake. "eat, drink all of you".

If wt makes a "reject the everlasting life offer" out of it,

do it privately at home. after all,

the last supper was a private exclusive affaire. so, follow Jesus' instructions. wt pressure notwithstanding.

how do most jehovah's witnesses explain the overlapping generation?.

i've asked a couple of jws to explain the overlapping generation and they directed me to the website jw------org.. either they don't know, or they do know but don't want to discuss it because they know it's bogus and embarrassing.. either way, surely they must know that this just extended the last days another 80 years from the time fred franz died.

D. Splane cited Frederick Franz, (who never generated,) as the quintessential under lapper. FF once gave a talk: "The Children God has given me" he must have anticipated that these would continue to spin his tales along all the way to 2075, as the OP stated > 80 years beyond FF's demise. RIP 1992 overlapped to 2075,

an 83 years extension with a 20 year overlap, perhaps by an anointed "sister" more than 100 year old, --doable.

So, elite humanity goes to heaven, bad guys go to the other place, universe is just there and earth is inhabited by plants and animals. No more humans? f

, we dont know yet. The great tribulation will be cut short, for, -- if not-- "no flesh will be saved." so, supposedly human lives will be protected. but, the earth and solar system have an expiration, best before date, limited fuel supply. so barring more miracles, and a reduction in population and behaviour, everlasting life, eternal life, can not means earth, even paradise as we know it.

remember, previous natural disasters wiped out the dominant species. now, who, us?

reject the flesh and blood of Jesus by letting it pass by. And why? Because of a whack speculative doctrine about two classes of believers.

what is wrong that some should be excluded from the symbols of life, be it everlasting or immortal.

like in the Israel of Old as in the Israel of God,

all are in the covenants, Mosaic or New. , only a few in the class of priests or kings.

all partook of the life giving food and drink.

all carried their little stakes.

for those still involved in the april 15 event, under the full evening moon.. "do this in memory of me " right, and follow the instructions.

BB have a heart, you want all of us to remain virgins? 12^2 k is bad enough.! seriously,

numbers can have symbolic meanings, but 144 000 is one of largest spelled out precisely, more than the 4 corners of the earth, or the 10 kings.

(not advocating for wt, just remarking)
