  the first christians were mainly of jewish decent and christianity began as a jewish sect.

  jesus was a thoroughly dedicated practicing jew who never suggested the launch of a new religion.

  jesus lived and died a dedicated jew.

  Watchtower tweaks "religion" out of Samaritan parable

  the watchtower writing staff often tweaks the application of a scriptural lesson to their benefit.

  this can be seen in this recent article of theirs: .

  first, in their explanation of the parable, they do mention "religion" in the original setting (bold letters below): .

  deserts are supposed to mummify organic matter.

  may be the israelites, the 2 millions of them, did not know it, but they were eating digested and heavenly recycled manna, . perhaps the quails had a role to play in that too.

  a heavenly possibility. astronauts too, drink recycled urine, and growing food in extreme conditions are worked on too. rhymes with poo.

  i’m an atheist.. let’s assume i am wrong, i am willing to be.. let’s give people a god, let’s even make him the god of the bible…... does he deserve to be worshipped and obeyed?

  if so, why does his abhorrent actions not morally make you question allegiance to him?.

  does his authority alone allow him to murder and drown and order war, to throw people into a lake of fire?.

  This is what success in balance looks like

  PTB. I had more in mind the balance between carbon intake and oxygen exhaling of plants, the vegetation and the herbivores, between eaters and the eaten. Between favouring your young, and excepting that everything will die, hopefully contribute by their demise, like stars do. giving us oxygen, carbon, even gold.

  think of evolution, living beings constantly experimenting with mutations, to establish the most successful.

  Creation as we see it, rewards success. to us it may be immoral, unfair. but success is rewarded. The deity must want it that way, because the way it is. but not success to excess. success in balance.

  my wife and i have been together for 12 years.

  married for 6. she was born into the truth, i studied for 2 years before we got married.

  we would attend meetings on a weekly basis, go to conventions, and memorial every year.

  is the fact that no god/god ever communicates with us evidence that no god/god exists?

  i think it is very strong evidence that no personal god/god exits, especially a benevolent god who wants humans to know him him/her/it, to obey him/her/it, and/or to love him/her/it.

  since no god/god communicates to us (including those who sincerely want communication with the/a god/god), wouldn't it be sensible for those who pray to what they believe is the/a god/god to cease all efforts to communicate to a god/god?

  perhaps a hidden, non-biblical message is waiting for you.
