Tonight’s meeting
by lastmanstanding inthis post is for the lurking dub.
the pimc (physically in, mentally confused) lurker dub.
the guy who reads the watchtower stuff and scratches his head, sure something is amiss but not sure of what’s really happening.. it may also be of some interest to those curious of the nuts and bolts of watchtower’s methods of scripture twisting.. in tonight’s “digging for spiritual gems: (8 min.

Yea, wt does not like competition, and would stop it if they could, but Jesus said no! anybody working in the right direction is working in the right direction, directed or not.
wt has to explain that away. plainly.

Proof of God
by MrDantastic ini'm an atheist as i do not see any evidence for the existance of a god.
i encourage critical thinking in everyone and am ready to debate anyone on whether or not there is a god and what that god might be like.

Gaia's balance?
I'm out of this conversation. coftysad to see you go at this point. There is the hypothesis that life on Earth keeps things in balance, even fights erosion with roots, protects islands with coral reefs, automatically, without any god, or the goddess Gaia fiddling mystical knobs.
hope to see you again. w (p).

Waton - You are describing a deist god.
A cursory glance at the unnecessary suffering he caused condemns him as a moral monster.I know what you are saying, culling a herd, or any overpopulation is more inhumane then browsing on overgrowing vegetation, but both are essential to maintaining Gaia's balance.
By classifying the possible originator as a moral monster, you are assigning artificial substance to him/her.
All I am saying look at existence, the works, and leave it at that. I Some aspects of nature seem to be inhumane, but even then, there is often short term automatic natural pain relief build-in, effective up to a point.

So what you see or dont to me depends on your life experiences. But that is just me.
Yeah, if you are working all your life to produce good stuff, or as a mother care for the children, and see the great job required to do that on a universal scale, you see the maker of that with awe. not a god, but as a worker. now,
If you think of being that creator, the last thing you would want is to be bothered all the rest of your life with having to listen to gripes and fiddling to fix, so you make it in such a way that it keeps going on autopilot, so,
look at the work, there is your "picture" of the creator, forget about god, for god's sake.
The bible got one thing right. The creator never asked to be worshipped, he has no ship on his shoulder, sacrificing religions was a Cain and Abel invention. not a demand by the creator.

What should that tell us ?
It somehow fits the description of the individual described by cofty 10 minutes ago.

Strange conundrum
by doubtfull1799 ini just had a thought inspired by @newboy's recent post:.
why is it that despite the watchtower corporation being arguably the biggest publishing house in history, having produced billions of tracts, brochures, magazines, books for o very 100 years, and having the largest army of volunteer publicity agents on the planet, that 99% of the population is still clueless as to what their message is all about?.
if you ask random people what jw's beleive you will rarely get the so-called "good news": gods kingdom is going to soon usher in a paradise earth and fix all the worlds problems under the 1000 year reign of christ.. you will instead get: "they're the people who... 1. don't celebrate christmas or birthdays, 2. don't take blood, 3. go around with the watchtower, 4. have big assemblies... etc etc".

Not only Langan but Galileo, Darwin, Newton, Einstein and Franklin .
& Lagrange . They all lived in areas where you have only one harvest a year. time to think, having to hoard supplies.
God must have created these latitudes to get the results that explained how things work. by math. mostly.

The false prophet strikes again! Didn't anyone notice?
by nowwhat? inlast year during the closing talk our favorite anthony morris lll in all his glory declared" armageddon is imminent!
" on the broadcast screen at every regional convention world wide!
well it has been a year now and if you look at the definition of imminent , we are well past the expiration date..

If His Eminence really said " imminent ". it means overlapping and invisibly spiritual, unreal.

Jesus tempted by Satan, real or just a vision.

me and my brother seldom communicate sadly, but no way would we go anywhere for fear of being seen with an inactive jw for over 10 years.. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/watchtower-simplified-march-2016/questions-from-readers/.

For the view of all the kingdoms to be possible, it must have been "on a clear day,
whenyou can see forever", anda flat Earth. both a myth. we can not see further back than 13.8 billion years, and we have a space horizon too.
