a young family man from a devout jw family was swept away in the late 60s by the enthusiasm to be in paradise by 1975. it all started at a book study with some very sincere and serious bible study members.

he turned his branch of the prosperous family business over to his brothers, and searched for a place to serve the rest of the old system's time out- in comfort and where the need was great.

Acluetofindtheuser: What if you don't partake of the memorial emblems but God's spirit has chosen you to be one of the 144,000? Do you get disqualified for not partaking or does he make an exception because of the mass confusion?

I suggest you start a topic on that. but

there are at least 118 cases of people that were anointed, without beforehand having taking the emblems, including Cornelius.

Rev 7, speaks about 144k being sealed, not partaking. a huge difference. The angels are in conversation, no mention that they reveal the identity of the sealed ones.

Partaking or not might be the biggest issue all witnesses have struggled with, as our hero above, Br. unplanned . and you and I.

Leave the solution to that question to those that can do something about it, and that probably would not be the G.O.D. (guardians of doctrine) appointed in 1919.

ACTFTU: your reference to Jonah, puts an interesting spin on your questions, for the account is clearly fictional, requiring the violation of nature's laws. But Jonah was conned into proclaiming a message that was meaningless, without teeths, a false prophecy. A set up for his being used , discredited, and kicked to the curb so to speak. His initial refusal seem to have been the right move.

It is but a story, even if Jesus endorsed it. so:

wt is wrong to limit the partaking to the already anointed. The new covenant is a mere prelude, the induction into spiritual Israel, the 12 tribes, having their "sins" forgiven, out of which the 144k are sealed , anonymously. to rule with Christ (if true)

If there is a creator, with even a smitchens of what the bible indicates about him, any of our invented stories, will pale in to nothing, compared what the future experience would be like (if any). Accepting or not the dictates of a provenly wrong "church" would matter little imho. Your doubting might earn you points of approval. How could you rule the cosmos if you are gullible?

If in doubt, follow your conscience and plead sincerity.

i was just sitting daydreaming about answering up during a watchtower and exposing one of the lies the wts has stated in the study material and wondering what the reaction would be 😊 has anyone ever done this on their way out?

You can always use Old Light doctrinal facts, if related to the paragraph's theme, and point out "--how blessed we are now to understand better, and looking into the future how even better and brighter light will be provided through the appointed channel. Giving proof of spirit guidance we can trust--" and on and on.

Hollow earth

i thought the flat earth conspiracy theory was strange but ive just read an article about a new conspiracy theory that the earth is hollow and that its a paradise there and 8 foot tall intellectually advanced aliens live there who send space ships out every so often to check on mankind.

apparently lost viking colonies and nazis that fled there after world war 2 are living there immortally 🤣🤣 .

this world just gets better and better 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

just to play along what a hollow earth would feel like to live in. Assuming that the centre is hollow, a round cavity, there would be no gravity there.

You could push yourself off the inner wall under England and float to Australia, envied by the kangaroos, but take a cushion along, the arrival would be as strong as your departure.

we know now that zero gravity has grave consequences on our bodies, including the brain. living inside a hollow earth would simulate that.

it was also skew our seismic findings, change the mass of the Earth, it's relationship to the moon, shift the barycenters.

Present a perspective with wrong priorities, like wt's performance record. .

I tried to read it but it was written very strangely. Like it sort of made sense and sort of didn't. The grammar was peculiar and I didn't really understand what was going on. Fred Franztone.

thank you, Fred, for even trying and putting up with the staccato syntax of one of the observing immigrant patriarchs in the story.

Point was, that within a day's driving distance of Brooklyn Bethel lived a number of young overlappers, that had contact with Fred Franz, Friend and other anointed there. These were real families, real characters. Their tenure on Earth will not expire until the 2075 era.

Wt's claim to uniqueness, authority is based on these timelines, appointment assertions. They have already collapsed.

A brother following the timeline of F.Franz, serving in Bethel with him, surviving him by ~80 years, the ~ same period that Franz survived 1014 (the supposed end then).

Remember, within a few years of 1975 most JWs professed not to remember that the WT said anything of consequence about that date. Ding:

1) 1975 a faith strengthening experience, a test of their zeal and endurance, and a time of sifting survived,

2) an affirmation that wt was on the right track, because Armageddon, paradise were now surely so much closer as they were in 69 when it all began.

Edit: so this lot of GB have given themselves some breathing room, and when the max date is reached they will all be dead,

FF: not only will they be dead, if that happens at the beginning of the Great Tribulation, their remains will be nowhere to be found, disposed by angels, like the first anointed one's was.

to recapitulate, a second F. Franz but having better , modern care, would have been 21 in 1992. would live past 2070, > 80 years after 1992. give 2 years for the GT, Armageddon, that in 2075 to the PPP, the millenium.

It is not later than you think, but it will be longer than they think.

Diagenesis sister, please read the experience in the 1975 to 2075 topic.

A 15+ year baptised, conceived unexpectedly and born in ~1973 was with Franz in Bethel, is now in his mid 40s and will live like Franz and his forbearers into the early hundreds, ~ 58 years from now, dying before the end as he must, in ~ 2075.

CTR was buried in a big funeral with signs "gone home". that will not be the same according to wt with the last of the anointed generation, as late as 58 years from now, They will be miraculously disposed of by angels, like Jesus. All this at the beginning of the Great Tribulation, ahead of Armageddon the judgement, eternal life for the sheep.
