A fictional, composite tale of many true elements from a city called Bostronno.

A young family man from a devout JW family was swept away in the late 60s by the enthusiasm to be in paradise by 1975. It all started at a book study with some very sincere and serious bible study members. He turned his branch of the prosperous family business over to his brothers, and searched for a place to serve the rest of the old system's time out- in comfort and where the need was great. Frankly, he wanted to avoid the panic scenes of Armageddon disasters pictured in the children's books of the Society, so he picked as a suggestion to support a struggling congregation way up north.

Build a comfy getaway place on a lake, boat, and all. Then, early 1072, a winter storm paralyzed the region, just as their supplies of the means to limit their family size, -- ran out.

9 month later, on Oct. 4, 1972 at about 12 am ***, sister 'quiet needgreater " delivered baby unplanned.

Later, after 1975, the family sold all these assets and moved back to Bostronno, strengthened now with the hope that comes from endurance and the realisation that Armageddon was now even closer, and resumed their normal lives. Enjoyed many occasions, like when Br. Franz came to give special talks in sports venues rented for the occasion, letting unplanned talk to him, and kind of bless him. The weddings that Governing Body members attended, to be with extended family members, friends they had made in Brooklyn while at Gilead. and

The many memorials, with the full moon shining on the family, as their elder father enjoyed the late get togethers, even savouring the leftover partaker's wine and crackers.

Young unplanned became an early true and profound believer, steeped deeply in the highest aspect of the faith, and developed a desire to be part of the top of it. After his baptism in about 1988 at ~16 and finishing high school, fulfilled the family's ambitious pride to apply for Bethel, and being considered. In the meantime he also had developed a sincere desire to partake. Not just in secret, but officially , expressing publicly his aspiration to move unreservedly to the top service privilege.

His Brooklyn time was cut short however, about 2 years after Br. Franz's death in 1992, when he got married and his wife was not considered as a bethel member. Great beauty does not always also mean spirituality.

Br. unexpected, is now 45, raising a family, is prosperous, fondly recalls the great memories, the smells of bethel, the occasional meetings with the dear old members. He is battling his midlife crisis, though holding on to the partaking and the upward call.

He realises now that he is one of the overlappers of the anointed generation, and, that if he hangs on, like his "good genes" grandmother and father, -- will live to 2075, given the very healthy life and stile he had.

He is in no hurry to quit this fine life, and reflects on the many sheep that will yet be saved until he and his generation will go to their reward.

Some details have been changed to protect the innocents.

*** many important numbers here, of portants to come: beginning of October, start of many bible events. 4, 7, 10,12

Not too sure of that Waton, the WTS has to deal with the easy access of information on the inter-net making hyped bullshit a lot more difficult.

finkelstein, The above story proves, that there must be millions worldwide, even among of the memorial attendees, that are overlapping the anointed that watched the ride of the ..75 wave. Even two anointed middle aged now, would bring wt to the brink of having to re-write the overlap, the anointing, or both. hope you cope with the unusual weather, snow and ice on the palm trees.

    What ?

Even two anointed middle aged now, would bring wt to the brink of having to re-write the overlap

Newly Anointed are going to appear that's for sure, the WTS/JWS cant control the psychological delusions it causes people.

So one day in the future the leaders of the WTS will spin something up to cover their asses like they did with the first overlapping generations tripe......... its the game the play

but do not even need to. right now, wt is already confronted with the middle aged overlappers that destroy the validity of their "soon" mantra. The above brother, named unexpected stretches these two groups from 1914 to almost 2075. (just to remind them)

so, what's the story? big deal?

crisis of conscience of a middle aged anointed that is the story, and wt's failed doctrines. their collapsing claim to fame.

The hero yearns back to his teen years, when young sisters moved up to him, struggles with those fading desires now, and

all these thousands of new partakers, are they replacements, if he falls? are thousands of anointed failing ? and

his concern for the Sheep, their judgement. His generation is supposed to be there when they are judged to enter everlasting life, as Jesus said. but he realises there is much wrong with wt's doctrine now. He, his generation is passing away at the beginning of the Great Tribulation,~ 2073, but Jesus said the generation would not.

perhaps it was, it is wrong, and is all for nothing?

What if you don't partake of the memorial emblems but God's spirit has chosen you to be one of the 144,000? Do you get disqualified for not partaking or does he make an exception because of the mass confusion?

What if the spirit calls you but you don't want to go to heaven? Can you refuse like Jonah?

ACTFTU: your reference to Jonah, puts an interesting spin on your questions, for the account is clearly fictional, requiring the violation of nature's laws. But Jonah was conned into proclaiming a message that was meaningless, without teeths, a false prophecy. A set up for his being used , discredited, and kicked to the curb so to speak. His initial refusal seem to have been the right move.

It is but a story, even if Jesus endorsed it. so:

Nice of you being sincere, but with that understanding, what to make of these "what if" questions?

wt is wrong to limit the partaking to the already anointed. The new covenant is a mere prelude, the induction into spiritual Israel, the 12 tribes, having their "sins" forgiven, out of which the 144k are sealed , anonymously. to rule with Christ (if true)

If there is a creator, with even a smitchens of what the bible indicates about him, any of our invented stories, will pale in to nothing, compared what the future experience would be like (if any). Accepting or not the dictates of a provenly wrong "church" would matter little imho. Your doubting might earn you points of approval. How could you rule the cosmos if you are gullible?

If in doubt, follow your conscience and plead sincerity.

    commenting not endorsing.

I suggest you start a topic on that. but

there are at least 118 cases of people that were anointed, without beforehand having taking the emblems, including Cornelius.

Rev 7, speaks about 144k being sealed, not partaking. a huge difference. The angels are in conversation, no mention that they reveal the identity of the sealed ones.

Partaking or not might be the biggest issue all witnesses have struggled with, as our hero above, Br. unplanned . and you and I.

Leave the solution to that question to those that can do something about it, and that probably would not be the G.O.D. (guardians of doctrine) appointed in 1919.
