i've now seen a couple of references to this and did a little digging before leaving for work.
i saw someone on reddit in july saying that someone on the inside said a change was coming in 2018 with the jw message, and i've now seen two references to this in the past week.

If the hard ball (of ice) message is to start being preached, the anointed leadership of the WTBtS must already have disappeared.

lumping plants and rock into one sentence blurs the lines too much. I can imagine that the breaking forth, of flowers, leaves in spring is triggered by euphoria-like inducing chemicals, but is the plant aware? Many processes work in our bodies, that we are not aware of. or?

why does god allow animal suffering?.
does it trouble you to see animals in pain?.
I believe that animals suffer less than we think, I have been in several life and death situations, and can not recall any suffering that I endured. shock and hormones covered that. . Of course injury without a quick death is different. pain can be excruciating. But would you trade life with some pain for non-existence? or for the sake of a permanent morphine dose fog?

true, so, think about this: the same sex act between a 17 year old girl and her 18 year old boyfriend is fine (outside the jw domaine) but the same situation would send a 10 year older male to prison and could have him end up dangling in his cell. Marriage of a 12 year old female was legal in some North American jurisdiction, but touching her the wrong way by her female teacher could end the offender's life the same way.

Why did you not ask for advice here? or send it from an unknown source? Elders are local protectors, and will react badly if they are seen to be allowing dissent in the ranks of their flock. He has to assume that you have been blabbering to others.
