I too come from a divided family. I know well the anguish and pain this can cause. I'm seeing it all again in other family members. Good luck, Strawberry; You'll find lots of friends on this board who have similar stories and backgrounds.
what is everybodys feelings out there about armagedon is it all garbage or is god's judgement day coming one day.i know the witnesses always use this as their pitch to keep you in,but is all that doom that is in revelation for our future or what?
Christians have been preaching about Armaggedon for nearly 2,000 years. Every generation of them believes that they are in the final days. It's this fear of the end being near that they use to pick your pockets. Christians have never got things right, let's face it even the very first one ended up getting nailed to a cross.
of course, there are so many to choose from.

my daughter was telling me yesterday that she was explaining the differences between jehovah's witnesses and other religions to her co-workers.
she explained that witnesses can't date "worldly" people-----only fellow witnesses.
she said jws don't celebrate birthdays because they are "pagan".......it dawned on my daughter that it was very incredible all the things jehovah's witnesses don't believe in or will not do.....can you think of different things that only jws do or do not do??
They all have this smug, holier-than-thou, look on their face. And they dress funny.

I think if i were god, I'd have to feel sorry for these people wasting their lives away; giving allegiance to a false organization.
