How about a stuckinarut review? You could wear a Guy Fawkes mask in the video - like from the movie V for Vendetta -

Say what you will about their watches and rings, I have to say I don't think they wear expensive suits. Italian suits are a little foible of mine and I'm very familiar with them. Most of the suits I've seen on the GB (the ones where you can see close enough to see the fabric anyway) seem to be cheep fabrics and ill-fitting. You can see in the above photos of this suit how badly it its tailored and how badly it fits. Its all saggy and crumpled in all the wrong places.

Evolutionist on their deathbed.
by Nimble duck ini would really like to read the thoughts of an evolutionist as they lie on their deathbed.
their "honest to nogod" thoughts.
their terrors.

Are you an ex-JW Nimble Duck? You haven't introduced yourself and your story. Are you still a theist or deist since leaving? Or are you a creationist here to troll atheists?
You talk a lot about pseudoscience etc and critical thinking. I cannot speak for all the other atheists here, but I am an atheist now simply because I applied the same critical thinking to Watchtower pseudoscience and creationism as I did to the religion itself and its theological speculations. I also applied the same critical thinking to the hypothesis that the Bible is the inspired word of God. And I could come to no other conclusion that it is not. Therefore I could only conclude that there is no God, or that there is a Deist God - i.e., one who started the universe, but is now absent from it.

It doesn't change reality. I can't stand the idea of ceasing to exist, the thought that life will go on without me. Wishing it to be otherwise unfortunately does not make it so, and is not evidence that there is an afterlife. I'm sure on my deathbed, when facing the reality of my mortality mores than now, I will wish that it didn't have to be that way, that I could live on in another realm. But again, it will make no difference to reality.

Really love his analysis of what people think it means to be "made in God's image"
Hadn't thought about some of these things before:
1. If the creation that is a copy of God has the potential to go rogue, then God himself musty have the potential to go rogue... (remember this was not a product of sin, it happened in the state of "perfection" and supposedly led to sin)
2. God could not share our feelings due to the difference in our natures, one good examples was that He could not possibly experience fear, because he can never be under threat like we can.
3. God demands faith from us but this is alien to His experience. Being all knowing, He never has to have faith in anything. He always has all the factual evidence for anything he knows. So having faith has nothing to do with being made in His image....

Evolution is a Fact - Index of Parts 1 - 40
by cofty in#1 protein functional redundancy comparing the sequences of amino acids in ubiquitous proteins confirms the relationship between all living things..
#2 dna functional redundancy comparison of the dna that codes for the amino acids of ubiquitous proteins predicts the tree of life with an astonishing degree of accuracy..
#3 ervs endogenous retroviruses that infected our ancestors are found in the same place of the genome of our closest primate cousins..

2017 Sunday RC Final Talk & Comments About 1975
by baldeagle inmany of us here have commented on the deceitful friday afternoon video shown at the 2017 rc that discussed 1975.. the video attempted to shift the blame onto congregation members for the fiasco saying, "some were looking to a certain date as signifying the end of this old system of things.".
this same video mentions how, “a few even went so far as selling their homes and quitting their jobs.”.
we all know that the wt leadership created this teaching and endorsed it right up to its abject failure.. now below is the concluding talk given on sunday at the rc.

Listening further on he makes the spurious assertion (based on applying random events in JW history as fulfillments of prophecy) that ALL the prophecies (In Daniel?) that relate to the "anointed" have already been fulfilled, there is nothing more to happen! Inferring that there is nothing preventing Armageddon coming tomorrow...
Interesting that in the Finished Mystery book of 1917 the same claim was made 100 years ago - there is listed there 88 prophecies that were claimed to have been absolutely and without a doubt fulfilled in connection with the anointed by 1914.

Creation account is the creation of Moses
by venus inthe word `intelligence' [from inter, “between” + legere, “ to read”] would mean ‘discern things as though reading in between the lines.
now read in between the lines of what moses wrote; his favored and frequent statement is this: ‘obedience to god means blessings, and disobedience means maledictions.’ (deut 28:1-68; 30:15-18) let us try to discern his motive behind this statement.. .
when moses wanted to present 10 commandments and other laws, he naturally wanted to prepare the israelites with a mind-set that ‘we must obey god, otherwise it is problem for us.’ the best way for this was to modify a well-known story of fall from other cultures.

There is no evidence that the person we know of as Moses in Scripture was actually the author. That is a Jewish tradition. Perhaps our Jewish experts on this forum can enlighten us more on the origins of that tradition. What you say may be true for who actually did author the Genesis account. From what I understand though it almost certainly was not Moses. For one thing, if Moses was an historical Israelite he was probably illiterate unless he was part of the priestly/scribal class - I don't know?

The spinning blade of a Sword and the 2 Angels guarding the gate....
by stuckinarut2 infor some reason i found myself shaking my head once again in disbelief at the story in genesis.. amongst all things, the very concept of a "flaming sword" spinning around and blocking the "entrance to the garden of eden" is so stupid!.
do people really believe that as a fact?.
seriously, swords were not even invented at that time!
