While PIMI I always tried to put the householder at ease by making sure the sister I was working with was very visible. I'd make sure the sister was directly in front of the peephole even when it was my turn. I figured that most people aren't afraid of little old ladies. Now I try to make sure I'm the only one visible. Haha. -

@Olig: Freudian slip?
Here is another mangled word: fathom (but people pronounce it as phantom)
Example: We as humans can't even begin to phantom Jehovah's power.

Let's Talk Horror Movies
by LoveUniHateExams inhorror is easily my favourite genre of movie so i just thought i'd start a thread on it.. horror can be done badly and there are plenty of crap horror movies, no doubt about that.
but horror can also be done very well, too - often on a low budget.. plus, there are quite a lot of subgenres - slasher, supernatural, monster movies, body horror, psychological horror, zombie, vampire, etc.. so, do you like horror?.
what's your favourite subgenre?.

"The Calendar of Jehovah God" - a historical tidbit
by OrphanCrow inin 1935, clayton woodworth (editor of the golden age - later the awake!
magazine) devised a 'new' calendar that he proposed was far superior to the pagan calendars that have been used in human history.he wrote a three part series for the golden age (i am not sure if these were actually published) that laid out his justifications for how this new calendar was more accurate and of course, was right in line with the divine plan.
the calendar was published in the 1935 yearbook, but the watchtower magazine later published a retraction to the calendar.

If a current JW heard someone say that Jehovah's Witnesses once had their own calendar with new names for months and days of the week, it would just be "apostate lies". And if you tried to press them on it guess what they'd say..."I'm not here to debate".
