  National newspaper interview with JW's using the JW.org trolley

  a dutch national newspaper (trouw) published an interview with some jw's using the jw.org trolley near the trainstation of utrecht.. the local coordinator of the trolley work acknowledged that many witness are not enthusiastic about preaching.

  it's a wide spread rumor in our organization.. but the witness elders will remind them personally that preaching is nessasery.

  then there is an question asked about the witness selection procedure for the trolley work.. the good looking pioneer sister answered she can imagine the need for selection because nobody would take a book from an old age leaning forward woman without teeth.. g..

  @whatHappened: yes, now you don't have to go D2D. If you qualify, you can just stand behind a trolley directing 'interested ones' to jw.org.

  always the fashionista amongst the governing body members, mr. stephen lett recently showed us how even an older man can display a certain swagger, a certain je nesais quoi that says, "i'm one of the anointed, and you're not!".

  he does this in so many ways, but the one i want to draw our attention to is the way he rocked the theocratic fashion world with his wearing of a very manly pinkie ring in a recent wtbts video.. - -.

  stephen lett of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses demonstrating how to wear a pinkie ring.

  If it really is a Fm ring, that puts it in an entirely different discussion category. But, even if it isn't, it is still 'yucky' IMHO. Is it just me, or does this guy seem like a twit?

  i attended my last meeting in january 2014, having realised that i'd been lied to for 20+ years (i'm now 43 y/o).

  rumours spread of my 'apostasy'.. in may, cobe contacted me inviting me to a private meeting with elders at the kh.

  (no mention of the meeting being a jc).

  in the last 6 months my family and i have stopped attending cold turkey.

  it is incredible to me to see how our so called friends have dropped us like we were a snake covered in spiders.

  we actually havent really said anything to anybody about why we stopped.

  Awesome. Wish I had done the same thing as you age (woke up). Then maybe my son could have been on a few sports teams in school and had some girlfriends. Maybe I would have done more to encourage his education. I spoke with him recently, and he is ok with all the lost years (does not blame me). Up until recently, I was always more worried about what he had lost during his childhood as a JW, but recently, I realized that I lost out on a lot of normal parent/child events too. Trying to get past the anger....

  Love it: coordinator of the trolley work. Must look nice on a CV... A whole new category of work related titles. Assistant coordinator, Senior trolley person, junior trolley person. Trolley repair team, etc...

  DC (Landover) Convention in August

  wonder how many who are attending realize that the payment that the wts is making to have the convention at fedex goes directly into the redskin's bank accounts.

  i know my wife finds the name redskins abhorrent, not sure if she has made this connection..
