i came across this weird blog that castigates fading jws for their "cowardice" and "hypocrisy" for not making themselves vulnerable to shunning.
apparently in the view of this blogger jws who discover it's not the truth are morally obliged to play by the watchtower rules and face the consequences of shunning.. http://jwresearchblog.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/fading-faking-and-lying-as-unbelieving.html#comment-form.
what is absent from the blog post is any discussion of the statement in the july 2009 awake!, that no one should be made to choose between their beliefs and their family.
Good catch SBF. It's just like when you hear time and time again ones saying that if you don't want to be a Witness just leave, no one's stopping you, no one's holding you hostage. As soon as you point out the result is ruined relationships with friends and family they then say it's the fault of the person for wanting out, they only have themselves to blame.
whether it's videos on jw broadcasting or pdfs on jw.org, all downloads used to be archived in-house at "assets.jw.org/" followed by the items name/code.
now clicking a download link retrieves the items from akamai.net, a web services company..
AJ - they have been using outside contractors on building projects, including halls, for a while now. They even have an article about it on JW.org at the moment
it`s so crazy:.

"We made these so our kids would have wholesome toys" = "We've seen ministyideaz and others making money from JW type shit and want some of that action".
well i just got back from 3 days in hell, and geez was this convention strange or what?
im sure someone's probably made a topic about this already but i can't believe that there weren't any new releases besides the movies.
has that ever happened before?
Too true Blondie. I've only really noticed it since I have moved to the fringes of the congregation but your experience is still happening day in day out.
very sad!
i posted a very personal message yesterday evening, received one reply - thanks!
meant a lot to me, now my post is nowhere that i can find.
i have a question.
yesterday while the wife and i were hitting garage sales we seen a house selling tools.
this house happened to be a witness couple getting rid of some old stuff.
I was with a small group of people the other day and one of the group said that they were surprised they were a Witness - they didn't like the ministry, didn't like going to all the meetings, didn't like the amount of stuff that needed doing and how they could easily be a Catholic and just pop to Church on a Sunday.
I just said well don't do it then.
this is great.
i'd love to see this at brighton in a couple of weeks.... "i'm of the kevinly class" or "praise kevin" would be a great way of letting any activist know there are those awake that know what they are doing.

I think you have a point WMF but it's a nice example of the sort of activism that can reach people without being overly confrontational or weird.
we had a number of posters report on the baptism rate at conventions which is usually less than 1% and rates lower than 0.5% is by no means uncommon.
despite this there is still a positive growth rate in the us (0.71% according to the yearbook) and i wonder how these numbers relate.
i wonder if anyone can help me out if these assumptions are true:.
Sorry bohm on two counts. Firstly by "waste of time", what I really mean is that I don't there is really a way of correlating the convention baptism ratio to overall ratios with any science. I think it's simpler just to wait for the yearly report as that has the figures. I didn't mean to pour such scorn on your efforts :-)
Secondly, I thought it was peaks between years you're right - for increase it is averages.
I think most of the baptisms are at CAs.
this is great.
