is the same as the link I posted.
[EDIT] - It didn't appear as a clickable link here either so I have made it so.
your qualifications are way above mine so i'd love to hear more about the specifics of what you have researched and how that supports the existence of a deity.
k99, i am not really convinced that you're interested in my conclusions.

Nature magazine not credible. FFS Kate.
the whole congregation was required to sign up for this all day program.what are they going to talk about for the full day.
maybe a one hour talk by an elder about "responsible toilet cleaning in this time of the end" with demos as how it can be accomplished.
only sisters seem to need to listen to that one.. maybe cutting grass to the proper height so we don't bring reproach on jehovah's name.

Nice to hear from you Viv and thanks for the links. It's worth an occasional reminder that this type of conversation is not a new thing...

I found the abstract here as the top response in Google after searching for the author and paper title

my son sent me a wonderful song a month ago on this thread.

it's amazing how a bad experience can trigger action.
I really hope it works out for you and your son Kate. The spite and bitterness in these situations can be so damaging to children.

Thanks Blondie.
can anyone remember that classic magazine article that stated:.
"education teaches one how to think, but propaganda tells one what to think" ?.
(if someone can post that quote and article that would be great!).

Giles...
k99-" I appreciate you trying to support mine and notsures' line of reasoning..."
I wasn't actually supporting either of you. I wouldn't be so rude as to assume such a roll. Both of you are more than competent at looking after your own affairs.
I guess I meant taking up the mantle of trying to get Kate to provide more reason and logic about why and how she came to her conclusion on guided evolution. I think Coded Logic has finally said what I couldn't be arsed to say and good on him, you, cofty et al for keeping it going.
if this does turn out to be the case it could have very serious implications.... turkey hovers between western freedom and democracy and an islamic hell.
europe has been bending over backwards to keep turkey on-side and promising it fast-tracked entry to the eu in return for it's cooperation in controlling mass migration from the east.. the situation is unclear at the moment but there are tanks on the streets....
I get your point CL but the West's repeated bombing and incursions into the middle east have never ended well as they have always seemed simply to be the will of the US. I have no aversion to seeing Western peacekeepers on the ground and don't think the west should not be involved in the democratic process but if the locals are going to pissed off I'd rather they were pissed off with each other rather than us.
So far the Arab world has been piss poor at policing themselves and it's about time they stepped up and supported the West (and even Russia) in trying to get some stability back. Right now they are happy to blame the US and take a back seat.
