They occur at the same time. The inspection leads to the extra appointment.
The inspection and appointment are both future according to the new light.

this new light certainly poses a problem for the governing body.
perhaps this is another reason why they have not yet published a sober and scriptural xplanation of this new light.

i would like to have your opinions on what i should do about a situation please.. i have recently discovered that a 'brother' in the congregation (which i no longer attend) is a child molester.
i've seen documentation from his psychiatrist dated a few years ago, stating that he doesn't feel that this person is likely to offend again.
the 'brother' has said to the elders at some point that he has it under control but cannot be 100% sure it won't happen again.
Maybe an anonymous letter through her door.
That way the you have been responsible and the ball is in her court - on her head be the consequences.

@Flamegrilled.
I can see where the confusion comes from.
In Rev 22:13 it speaks about the Alpha and the Omega. WT tells us this means Jehovah.
Reading the whole of Rev 22 it's apparent that John is talking to an angel. Who is the Angel? It's Jesus.
So every reference to 'I' in Rev 22 is either John or Jesus speaking. This means that in Rev 22:12-18, it is Jesus speaking.
So when the WT quotes:
*** w78 10/1 p. 15 par. 6 “Keep on the Watch” ***
Also, in his final revelation concerning “the things that must shortly take place,” Jesus again stresses the suddenness with which he comes:
“Look! I am coming quickly. . . . Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me. . . . Yes; I am coming quickly.” (Rev. 22:7, 12, 20)
the 'inference' from the WT is that it is Jesus speaking. The WT78 does not try to clarify that in any way, nor suggest that inbetween Jesus' words, Jehovah chips in with an unrelated short statement.

@Wannabefree,
Yes, they changed that. To quote their released statement:
"Jesus’ appointment of the “slave” over his “belongings,” then, must also be a future event. He will make that appointment during the great tribulation."

dear brothers:.
They are nested in that they are now 16 pages instead of 32, so to save any effort when they are printed, what looks like one of the old magazines is actually two of the new ones, one inside the other.
So when they are delivered to the KHalls they look like a stack of magazines, but when you take one you're actually taking two.

I'm not so sure Cedars:
THE "ALPHA AND OMEGA"OF REVELATION 22:12 Refers to Jehovah God - AWAKE! 8/22/78 p.28
Refers to Jesus Christ - WT 10/1/78 p.15
This was a pretty big switch in just two months!

i once heard of a circuit overseer blaming a loyal ministerial servant, that served as the accounts servant, of steeling from the contribution boxes, simply because he deposited the congregation funds bi-weekly instead of twice a week.
due to the accusation, the ms was immediately removed without hearing his side of the story.
isn't this rather counter-intuitive and innefficient?
At an elders and servants meeting one CO told us our children didn't belong to us, they belonged to Jehovah.
My shocked face must have caught his attention, since he did a double take, looking at me.
*** w09 3/1 p. 29 Does God Take Children to Become Angels in Heaven? ***
"The Bible affirms that children are “an inheritance from Jehovah.” (Psalm 127:3) Would Jehovah, the God of love, take back a gift that he has given parents? Surely not!"

usually i read through the study article for the week to see if there are good points of discussion with my family.. when i read this paragraph, i nearly fell off my chair.
this is complete and utter garbage.
i have had discussions with my wife and other family members who also agreed it was complete rubbish.
What if the elders are not in full agreement, who, then, is reflecting Jehovahs point of view?

hi guys.
richard e. kelly has kindly contributed a great article to jwsurvey.org on the link below.... http://jwsurvey.org/child-abuse-2/bo-juel-jensen-could-he-be-watchtowers-worst-nightmare.
richard tells the story of bo juel jensen, an ex-witness who has been doing marvellous work in raising awareness of watchtower child abuse mishandling in norway.. as with most child abuse victims, bo's story is a disturbing one.
I was always under the impression that for something criminal (as opposed to civil), then the police took people to court?
If this is the case, a JW is not violating the 'don't take your brother to court' clause, since it's the police doing that.
Also, who is bringing reproach on Jehovahs name? Is it the offender / those wanting to cover it up, or is it the victim who tries to protect the other children?
