What kind of angel was Satan?
by Leander inthe bible mentions several different types of angels.
seraphim, cherubs and the archangel who is referred to as jesus.. my question is what type of angel was satan?
i could be wrong but it seems that satan may have been a bit more powerful than many of the other angels.

Assuming that the garden of eden story and man's creation is true, I have always wondered if satan and his buddies were/are jealous of mankind. You know, people (and I guess angels too) do stupid things when emotions take control.

I'm not sure what kind of angel he was but I'm under the impression that he did have some position of oversight, maybe even a lot of ovesight for the very reasons you note. Also, it appears that he was in charge of overseeing the garden of eden.

Favourite Live Performer:
by Englishman ini've seen loads of live acts, back when i was a "young person asking" i watched the crystals, heinz, johnny kid and the pirates, brenda lee, joe brown and others all on one show.
so very innocent!.
come my eventual departure from dubdom, i resolved to see all these bad people playing their music live.

What would a meeting be like if.....
by roybatty ineveryone on jw.com were jws and attended the same congregation.
now, i'm not saying that we'd follow brooklyn's rules (how boring).
instead what would it be like jw.com style.

>>ok, Roy you let it slip so you gotta tell the story!!
This is part of the meeting, speaker calls on Roy to relate his uplifting (no pun intended<<Yup, true story. Jeez, I must have been 18 or so working with another "brother" in a pretty nice area. I remember walking up to the door, knocking on it, and it being opened by a fairly good looking young lady. But behind her at the top of the stairs was standing a fully nude woman. I went through my presentation (without a hitch) all the while my mind was screaming "THERE'S A NUDE WOMAN STANDING IN FRONT OF ME!!" The clothed householder listened to me, all the while grinning and politely turned down the magazines.
I wish I could say something else happened, oh well. Needless to say, that territory card was always checked out!! lol. -

Xena, I'd have the perfect demonstration for you and Harmony. And of course it would involve the householder just getting out of the shower in order to answer the door. ((brother in the sound department, please cue the bad 70's porno music)) lol
BTW, I did have a young lady answer the door naked once. But that's another story....

Personally, I'd be sitting in the front from to watch Xena and Harmony do the demos on the service meeting :)

Been outta a hell of a long time and still bummed
by Mindchild insometimes i do a lot of thinking.. yeah, i know that is dangerous.
regardless, at times it seems that even though ive been out of the borg for a little over two decades now, gone through expensive therapy, had a long term relationship once with another ex-dub and spent 8 years in college, i still find my personal thinking effected in some negative ways by my being raised a jw.. for instance, i have a really difficult, if not impossible time, ever finding a community where i feel i belong.
ive lived everywhere from san francisco to cocoa beach on the opposite coast and no matter where i live, i feel like im an alien from another culture.

This might sound too simplistic but it worked for me. Get involved in some type of community activity. Got a kid? Coach his t-ball team. Doesn't require much sports knowledge at all. Like to walk or bike? There is always some type benefit that needs people. You don't need to spend "90 hours a month" doing it (lol) but I'll tell you this much. I left the Borg a year ago, felt the void that you mentioned but then filled it with coaching my kids football and soccer teams and volunteering in the community. You'll be surprised how quickly you feel like you belong. Differnt groups need people but don't know who to ask. Find them and help out.
Well, just my 2 cents.
