Roybatty, why now? What do you want to accomplish by reporting her now?

That's a good question Swan. A major concern of mine is pulling my kids away from the JW cult. My 12 year old son already shows signs of not wanting to any part of it but my 9 year old daughter is still under the influence of the JWs and here mom. If there mother were df'd it would make it extremely difficult for her to get the kids out in service, answer at the meeting, associate with other JW families, etc. However, the more I think about it, the more it will probably just place undue stree on my kids. And I'll admit that a part of me would like to see a self-righteous JW taken down a couple of notches.

Yeah, SheilaM, joining the Y was my big crime. Coaching those kids and instilling in them good values is just so anti-Christian.

So maybe you could go to the Elders and talk to them or just reason with you wife with the scriptures I mentioned? Eh, it worked for me, played on my guilty conscience enough maybe it will work for her and she'll do her own confessing.

Well, she's not my wife anymore and I'd probably feel like a jerk turning her into the elders. Like I said, a part of me would like to see her taken down a couple of notches but moreso I'm wondering how her being df'd might benefit my kids. It would be impossible for her to take them out in service and ackward taking them to the meetings. Then again, this all could back fire and just cause more harm.

tell the elders that your conscience has bothered you and that OTHERS know about what you and your ex did. I thought about it Min. I'm just not sure I want to sit on the phone and tell this guy what her and I did. Decisions decisions.

Yeah, that's what I thought Wolfy. I have to admit that a part of me would be curious to see how her elders would react if I just happened to let them know a few of her secrets. Sometimes that self-righteous attitude really grinds on me. The "oh, what do you know, you're an apostate." Grrrr..

I was just wondering if anyone had any WT ref. about serious sin and there being no time limit. I was also wondering if anyone else (while a JW) got busted for something they did years before.

Those leaders who won't stand up to the threats against mankind. Leaders like Bill Clinton who was more concerned with getting a bj in the oval office then dealing with the radical Muslims planning attacks against the US. Leaders like Nevalle Chamberlain and Edouard Daladier who thought insane leaders like Hitler could be appeased. Who, signed the Munich pact, giving away a whole country (Czechoslovakia) to Hitler thinking that this would keep him at bay.

Screw it! I say pull the US forces out of the Gulf and NK, bomb any facility in either country that can make weapons that could reach the US and let the EU handle it.
