  Reaction of the JW believers to the 2016 RC

  there are threads on the content of the rc and reaction of awake jws here, but how are indoctrinated jws reacting to the convention.

  my family and i have not attended yet, but i am bracing myself for it.

  anybody talking in jw circles?

  Way back in 1988 I received my very first "leak" an advance copy of the Revelation Climax book. The book was eventually spotted on my desk at home and I was turned in to the elders for having apostate literature. Go figure. Of course nowadays the teachings in the book are actually considered apostate in the most part.

  I was so furious about being falsely accused that I had a bunch of the illustrations, the more bizarre ones, printed up. I did this by taking photos of the pictures with my then brand new 35mm SLR Canon EOS 620 camera, and had prints developed. The photos I left lying around everywhere.

  Does GB 2.0 Have The Guts To Publish A Book On Revelation?

  so we all know that the old revelation book is "old light" and the gb would like to sweep it under the rug.

  however, since they have been reinterpreting many of the parables from the gospels, many jws are confused as to how it all fits in with the book of revelation.

  plus, they have been emphasizing the nearness of the end and the gt.

  ...y'know... like the Sparlock cartoon.

  Funny you should mention Sparlock. I got a negative anti-apostate response from the same JW, and a few other JWs, about Sparlock the warrior wizard. You think they would learn to stop criticizing mother Watchtower.

  Also got a very similar response re: Geoffrey Jackson and his appearance before the ARC. Poor waco jacko got called an apostate by many a JW.

  Witness Carts - A Vehicle for Significant Decline

  i was stalking to a jw today about her recent experience on the carts and with being a jw generally.

  until this conversation i considered the carts as just an ineffective preaching method and a harmless waste of time.

  but now i wonder if the effect of the carts might be to produce noticeable decline in jw numbers.

  I emailed the bunker videos and the 'paradise' video to an active JW I know. I received a reply to stop sending apostate videos. Go figure.

  European Parliament requires copies of 4/2016 Awake speaking about Homosexuality

  a few sources in brussels (where i born) confirmed me that one legal representative of the european parliament has required a few copies at the street booths in town.

  copies were requested in french, dutch and english....

  Mario Moreno (JW Attorney) once gave testimony, on behalf of WTBTS and JWs, before a European Court that children cannot be members of the JWs but can only participate with their parents in the activities of the community. The "two mommies" video featuring Sofia is therefore aimed at non-practising JW children and might be a violation under EU child protection laws.

  Worth looking into.

  Love your leaks and regular info. Your files automatically download - via the link - onto certain devices such as iPads, tablets (android) and cell phones. Certain auto downloads cannot be turned off and can result in excessive carrier $$$ charges. Not for me but others.

  Maybe best to link to a page that has a "Download Here" icon and the file size and type.

  the issue of whether beards are acceptable or not is addressed in the september 2016 watchtower - well sort of.

  it is as clear as mud as to whether they are allowed in places like australia, usa and britain.. 17. what are some factors that may affect whether a brother wears a beard?17 what about the propriety of brothers wearing a beard?
