so had to check it out to see what it's all about.. what i got was more cloudiness.
as in luke 2:9.... suddenly jehovah’s angel stood before them, and jehovah’s glory gleamed around them, and they became very fearful.
the notes point out.... jehovah’s angel: this expression occurs many times in the hebrew scriptures, starting at ge 16:7. when it occurs in early copies of the septuagint, the greek word agʹge·los (angel; messenger) is followed by the divine name written in hebrew characters.

i went to meeting today and the sister in front of me was upset song 134 now song 139 no longer contains jehovahs name.
they took it out.
i never even noticed .
Of course the song has changed. Must keep up with new light that was uttered by Geoffrey Jackson during the ARC about the governing body being the "Guardians of doctrine."
OLD LIGHT - “Jehovah our God, how well you have done!"
NEW LIGHT - "We thank you, our [Guardians of doctrine], for all you have done."
"the response of the jehovah’switnesses and watchtower bibleand tract society of australialtd to allegations of childsexual abuse".. this report is 110 pages.
it is imperative to look it up on the arc website each and every one of you.. http://www.childabuseroyalcommission.gov.au/getattachment/c2d1f1f5-a1f2-4241-82fb-978d072734bd/report-of-case-study-no-29.
Over the past 25 years, the active membership of the organisation in Australia has grown 29 per cent from approximately 53,000 members in 1990.
In the same period Australia’s population growth has been approximately 38 per cent.
This statement by the ARC is one of the single most poignant statements made in relation to JWs self-belief on organisational growth. It strikes at the heart of the problem ... an overinflation of one's self-worth. In 1999 Watchtower and the JWs appeared before the Australian Senate and claimed they have just over 100,000 associates in Australian alone. This is an almost double amount of the facts. Theocratic warfare.
Watchtower and the JWs have been stripped naked and exposed to the world for all to see. The big problem now is what to do with them. They will not reform. They cannot apologise and admit their system is flawed. To do so would require an admission worldwide as the system comes from the governing body and Watchtower's elder/lawyers.
Geoffrey Jackson publicly criticised the ARC for attempting to understand the bible. But the reality is that Jackson and his fellow six governing body members believe only they themselves can interpret the bible accurately and that their interpretation is the only one endorsed by god. By contrast the ARC could have just as easily criticised Jackson & Co for trying to interpret the law in Australia, but they didn't as the dismal facts spoke.
The current operation of Watchtower in Australia is untenable. They cannot be permitted to continue to operate in breach of the law and as a clear and present danger to the wider Australian community as well as the rank-and-file JWs.
Watchtower will stumble and fall as they seek to dodge liability by weaving fallacy after fallacy. They will try to bluff the ARC by providing a pseudo Child Protection / Safeguarding Policy that actually protects the Watchtower and no one else. No doubt any such policy will ultimately blame the victims and their family. This will be no coincidence because it comes from the governing body and 'faithful and discreet slave' - both of whom never say sorry.
It took over three years of fighting and court battles to get the JWs in Australia to comply with the working with children laws and for the elders and ministerial servants to undergo a police check as required by law for charities and religious institutes. Now some 7,000 JWs have now done the check, were issued their cards and complied with the law. This was a victory for those who took on the cause and a slap in the face to the governing body.
The Catholic Church has appeared this week to receive their report card. They also apologised, made amends and made compensation. They acknowledged they were protecting their public image. They provided a list of victim payouts which totaled some $275million. In the most part they are on the way to forgiveness.
The Watchtower and JWs appear on the 6th of March. There has been no apology. The recent Fessler case showed that they have not learnt a single lesson. They are beyond reform. They have not, will not and cannot admit that their actions were to protect their image, because their actions were not motivated by image or even money. The motivation was the furtherance of a religious cause - the existance and power of 'the faithful and discreet slave' and its governing body.
It will be interesting to see if Watchtower made any payouts as they have no redress scheme. I know of one JW family in Australia that asked Watchtower for compensation of 99 cents and an apology. Their compensation claim was rejected.
The ARC has the power to recommend to the Australian government that Watchtower and all 800 plus associated charities be wound up and shut down. The ARC has the power to recommend that all public JW places of worship be deregistered so as to protect the community. The ARC has no power to go after the JW religion as it does not exist as a legal entity, it only exists in the mind of JWs. In this situation the Ellis defence (an Australian legal precedent) applies.
Two members of the governing body need to appear before the ARC on behalf of all members and plead for forgiveness. Won't happen. Arrogance. The bible says you reap what you sow.

pinoy jehovah’s witnesses in russia face deportation.
philippine daily inquirer / 05:40 am february 24, 2017. .
So now we get a true look into where the JW growth in Russia is really coming from.
8,000 JWs being deported to The Philippines. Sounds like the making of a JW refuge camp. No homes to go back to. No jobs to go back to. Watchtower must be terrified that they will be required to financially support their brothers who face persecution for their faith.
below is a paste of the front of my recent essay.
ask most jws today and they'll tell you that, yes, watchtower has made a few mistakes -- that there are a couple date failures -- 1925 -- and maybe another one they can't even remember.. lest they forget, the following should jog their collective memories as to how egregious watchtower has been in their obsession with date predictions (oh, but we don't make predictions, they may tell you) over the 138 years of watchtower history.. len miller.

DesirousOfChange - Yeah, but with the new light that says they were not appointed by CJ until 1918 or 1919, everything said by Chas Russell gets thrown under the bus (with him).
New light does not cancel out old light, it just adds to it. How? Today's new light, that replaces yesterday's old light, will be replaced by tomorrow's new light which then relegates today's new light to the old light of yesterday.
Give the governing body enough time and enough overlapping members and it will all start again. Soon, very soon, in 'the new last days', after the 2,000th memorial of Christ's death, a new generation of governing bodies members will declare, with no mention of 1914, that:
"When the 'faithful and discreet slave' [insert scripture here] was appointed in 1919 [insert scripture here] 'the slave' immediately came under attack from Babylon the Great [insert scripture here] and the wild beast of Revelation [insert scripture here]. This marked the start of the modern 70 years of captivity [insert scripture here]. In 1989 jehovah's people declared [insert some random quote from 1989 watchtower here] thus recognizing their captivity had ended [insert scripture here]. Evidently jehovah's blessing was upon his people [insert scripture here] as the preaching work moved ahead with zeal [insert scripture here]. Like the faithful Israelites that returned to Jerusalem to rebuild the city [insert scripture here] so too did jehovah's people embark on a worldwide building program [insert scripture here]. Jesus prophesied that 'the last days' [insert scripture here] would be 'just like the days of Noah' [insert scripture here] when he built the Ark [insert scripture here]. Are we not happy brother's that the Great Time Keeper [insert scripture here] has revealed to us what must 'shortly take place' [insert scripture here]. As one united people we look forward to what future plans jehovah might reveal to his followers as we move towards the conclusion of this wicked system of things [insert scripture here]."

kingdom hall south dakota live stream.....i found this video on youtube.com.
it reminds me of my old kingdom hall where hardly anyone is sitting in the front rows and doesn't seem like they have a large membership.most kingdom halls sit around 200 people at the most and seem to have a hard time filling the seats.. my old congregation had around 45 members when i left 4 years ago.we always seemed to have a hard time meeting the monthly expenses.some months,i was told that some elders would contribute extra money so the congregation would not be in the negative for the month.. how many members did your congregation have while you were still attending and did meet its expenses for the month?.
It's an overlapping congregation.
It takes a spiritual mind to understand the deep things of god. Evidently the congregation is full to the brim and overflowing. If you take the attendance figures from each meeting for last month and then overlap the numbers with the meeting attendance figures for the previous month you will find the hall is actually full.
stephanie, just a warm thank you for going public and allowing us to look into your personal and private life.
congratulations on your victory.
in a better world there would be no need to pursue such a cause, therefore congrats are tempered with unfortunate reality.

attending for family reasons, and listen in "oversee" modus to the many comments during the watchtower study.. in my opinion it was a self help article on the subject stress amongst the flock.. leave it all to jehovah and help your self with the bullet points.. what i noticed from the comments is the lot of stress mentioned.
comments after comment they told how they handle their problems.
it is a real toppic amongst them.
The last thing a shepherd wants is for the sheep to be stressed and anxious ... just before he kills them, fleeces them, and then slow cooks their body parts over an open fire. Makes the meat tough.
i was watching a documentary on the development of man and they were indicating that the eating of high protein diet was helping man to grow a bigger brain and then went on to say that cooking the food was the breakthrough on how our brain became bigger then other animals that ate a lot of protein.
does this make any sense to you and what science if any shows cooked protein is better in any way over raw?
your thoughts..
100,000 years ago in a cave far, far away ...
CAVEMAN DUG: Hey Stu, we should squeeze the juice out of these grapes and put them in the water skin bags so we can have fresh juice in the morning with our rock fried bacon and dodo eggs.
CAVEMAN STU: I dunno. I don't care much for grape juice.
CAVEMAN DUG: Too late. I've already filled a bag for each of us. If you don't want yours I'll leave it here in the back of the cave and we can pick it up next year when we come back this way hunting. I'll just push this piece of cork in the top so it doesn't spill.
CAVEMAN STU: Whatever man.
One year later back at the cave.
CAVEMAN DUG: Hey Stu you gotta try this stale grape juice.
And the rest is history!
[Via Google Translate]
i will go next year :-) .
JW: Would you like to celebrate the Lord's evening meal with us at the kingdom hall?
ME: Will cheeses be there?
JW: (confused) What?
ME: Well if I'm going to church to drink wine and eat crackers by god there better be cheeses present.
