  for those who like stats and numbers may find this of interest.. 1914 – recognizing the ”the elephant in the room”.

  the problem with the date ”1914 ad” lays with the two calendars that are involved – jewish and gregorian.

Hence as the great time keeper [insert scripture here] jehovah could foresee [insert scripture here] that his prophecy would need to take into account the overlapping years [insert scripture here] so that true correct date would fit in with accurate teachings of the Watchtower.   Are we not happy brothers that jehovah pointed to 1914 as the start of his kingdom [insert scripture here] and the appointment of the "faithful and discreet slave" [insert scripture here] in 1919.

  Clearly jehovah has our best intests at heart [insert scripture here] by revealing to "the slave" [insert scripture here] the times and seasons. [insert scripture here]

  as some have recently posted here, there does seem to be a shift going on in their self-interpretation(s) of what happened in 1918 and 1919. if we can look past all the details that emphasize the poor thinking and poor wording (or contradictions/just plain craziness/insignificance) of their message, something bigger seems to be afoot.

  they appear to be attempting to redefine the meanings for some "prophetic" scriptures in light of themselves.

  At last Watchtower finally found a theocratic purpose for the luxury river front property they purchased in Wales (see description and photos below) ... pre-recording a talk in Welsh some three years later.

  And there were sceptics who believed Watchtower was only a real estate company and had no need to purchase a luxury river front property for translation services.

  THE PROPERTY

  Superbly positioned above The Menai Strait with direct water access, Y Gwylain has been impressively developed to a high standard.   So, I watched "The Founder" today, and had a minor Revelation

  in the movie's story, ray kroc, the man who is in charge of franchising mcdonalds restaurants, is finding himself in a situation where he is doing gangbusters at creating the stores, but is going broke on his contract.

  he gets help from another fast food executive who examines his books.one aspect of the business jumps out.

  the stores need land to operate on, and that money is going to the land-owners who lease the land to the stores.
