Have you ever known a holocaust denier? How did you feel about them?

i sometimes did work for a lovely old couple who at times needed repairs done around their home.

my wife and myself spent time with them, having tea and crackers from time to time.

one day the husband and myself got into a conversation and he clearly showed himself to be a holocaust denier.

Further on my discussions with Ilsa Hess. One time I spoke to her about the decision that Rudolph Hess made when he passed the Nuremberg laws in 1935 which effectively removed the citizenship and rights of the Jews in Germany and paved the way for the holocaust.

Ilsa told me that one day Hess came home excited with a paper that was being given out everywhere by the Bible Students. Hess explained that the paper was critical of the Jews are provided serious claims the race was corrupt. Hess was also greatly disturbed by the paper.

From the time of the events I have been able to identify this paper as the 1933 Declaration of Facts prepared by Rutherford. Rutherford should have kept his mouth shut. The Nazi party had already seized and then returned Watch Tower's buildings but this was an action consistant in the Magdeburg area with other buildings as well. Hitler wanted to build his headquarters in the town.

Ilsa agreed that the eager support of the Nazi party by the Bible Students, their use of the Swastika flag on Watch Tower buildings, and the Declaration of Facts, could have influenced Hess towards the new laws he put in place about 18 months later which targetted the Jews. These laws led to the holocaust. Little wonder Watchtower leaders have spent do much time playing the persecution card and rewriting their own history to make themselves the victims and not the one's who encouraged and promoted the hatred of the Jews.

Rutherford tried to protect his power by attacking the Jews, the US government, Britain, the League of Nations and then, in his stupidity he attacked Adolph Hitler personally. The mosquito buzzed too close to the ear and went for blood. All the while Rutherford enjoyed his distance from Germany in luxury of his Beth-Sarim mansion while awaiting the resurrection of the holy ones who he 'claimed' he built the mansion for. This left the Bible Students as a target.

jwleaks: ... I did personally know Ilse Hess, wife of Rudolph Hess, Deputy Führer to Adolf Hitler. She died in 1995 in Victoria, Australia, in my home town. She knew my grandmother, Oma, who also came to Australia after WW2. My Oma was the granddaughter of King Leopold II of the Belgians. Ilse's revelations to me about the JWs, aka Bible Students, were in complete contrast to Watchtower's own sanitised historical revisionism.

That is very interesting.Would you be able to expand on those contrasting revelations? Thanks

Rudolph Hess, apart from being Deputy Führer to Hitler, was also the editor of Hitler's Mein Kampf which was written while they were both in prison.

According to Ilsa one the influences on Mein Kampf was a German translation of book in the prison library - Studies in the Scriptures volume 7, The Finished Mystery. At the time the writings of Rutherford and the Watchtower were very critical of jews and blacks.

Also, which is quite ironic, the jehovah's witnesses, or bible students as they were then known, went greatly ignored by the Nazi party during the lead up to and commencement of WW2. They were not singled out for persecution or attack. They were tolerated if not ignored. If you look up the early JW yearbooks you will find that the Watchtower Society courted Hitler and offered public support to the ideologies of the Nazi party prior to WW2 recognising they they shared a common ideology. Things changed when Hitler commenced building and land acquisition, including a watchtower owned building.

Watchtower Society president, JF Rutherford, launched a broadside attack on Hitler by rallying jehovah's witnesses around the world to send telegrams to Hitler threatening him and telling him that their god will destroy him.

When I discussed these events with Ilsa one afternoon she explained that no one in the Nazi party had any real idea who all these telegrams and threats were from or why they were arriving. However, Hess knew who they actually were. Rutherford and the Watchtower were simply a a noisy mosquito in the room waiting to be swatted. Had Rutherford kept his mouth shut and not meddled in the political affairs of this world things might have changed on the world stage.

Ilsa told me that both Rudolph Hess and Adolph Hitler eventually decided that the Watchtower, aka bible students, and Rutherford were trying to cause divisions on behalf of the US government. The irony at the time was that Hess was an avid reader of Rutherford's books. According to Ilsa her husband did not view the bible students as a threat or problem but Hitler did not like to be threatened. The bible students made the black list and eventually suffered, although not to the extent Watchtower has made out.

I asked Ilsa "if the bible students never threatened Hitler and the Nazi party, would that have changed history?" I got an answer. The telegrams were the straw that broke the camel's back and caused a deadly reaction.

In my opinion, Rutherford and the jehovah's witnesses around the world share the blame in stirring up trouble when none existed. I wonder how many lives were lost because the jehovah's witnesses meddled in politics. When Jesus was on earth he threatened no ruler with removal and always said his kingdom was no part of this world. Rutherford set up his kingdom as part of this world and seized the rulership for himself by having those on the board of directors of Watch Tower who did not support him removed. Then he out and secretly commissioned the writing of The Finished Mystery book and attributed it's origin to Christ. Stupid, stupid man.

Rutherford had Hitler threatened with removal, albeit by so-called divine action. Interestingly it was Rutherford himself who was removed first. He beat Hitler to the grave.

it probably will never happen but... imagine the gb recieved some new light that told them the great tribulation was imminent.

the world is going to hell and all jws can expect until armageddon is terrible persecution the likes of which no christian has ever experienced in two thousand years.

but jehovah has a solution: put yourself and your family 'to sleep' and after armageddon's over, jehovah will 'wake his people up' at the resurrection.

The closer the governing body believe they get to judgment day (i.e. the day the truth about the truth is fully exposed) the more they will seize assets, ask or beg for more money, sell off the church real estate and bunker down in a country retreat.

Why isnt the overlapping generation( interpretation), consistently applied to these scriptures.?

" as having overlapping generations ?

and not applying the same reasoning to any other scripture/s referring to a generation or this generation .?

Correction: It is just over 1,800 cases of child abuse and just over 1,000 alleged perpetrators. The 3,018 elders who knew about the allegations is correct, not counting the JW hierarchy.

in this article gerrit talks about his father in the first and last paragraphs, what he says about him and his hope for him goes against all that witnesses have preached about the worldly for the last 100 years... as i recall aren't all the worldly supposed to be destroyed and never have a hope of everlasting life like jw's are, and isn't that the purpose of the preaching work to baptize and warn the worldly of this???

if not why do jws even preach, or even become jws in the first place if all have a hope of everlasting life, jw and non-jw, are they releasing a little hint at new light to come???

or am i just missing or over analyzing something?.

Serena Williams, you have confirmed you will be in Melbourne, Australia, next month, January 2017, for the Australian Open from the 16th to 29th. I was born in Melbourne and I love my capital city.

Serena, do you endorse or support the Jehovah's Witnesses religion's decision not to report to the authorities the rape and molestation of over 1,800 girls and boys within the church in Australia alone? These figures have been verified by the Australian Child Abuse Royal Commission. I hope you don't remain silent like the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses who only spoke to declare the child abuse within their religion is "apostate driven lies".

Each family in Australia has on average 2.4 children. Therefore the 1,800 child abuse victims in Australia have an immediate family of 6,120 not counting themselves. Add to this number each child victim's grandparents (7,200) then the total number of people (immediate family) directly affected by the concealing of child abuse with the Jehovah's Witness church in Australia is:

Serena, when you take the court in Rod Laver Arena next month I hope you recognizes that every single seat in the arena you are playing tennis in represents a family member directly affected by child sexual abuse in Australia within the religion of Jehovah's Witnesses alone.

Serena, if you win the Open, and I wish you all the best, I hope that in your speech, instead of thanking Jehovah God (and by extention the Jehovah's Witness religion which you associate with) you draw attention to these 1,800 child abuse victims.

Unless one person stands up no one else can join them. You are a role model so be that role model and stand up.

ABC News: Malcolm Lee, 56, has been sentenced to three years, nine months jail for the attack on the woman, 80, at her home near Lakes Entrance in March. During a home massage, organised as a gift by the victim's daughter, Lee touched, kissed and digitally raped the woman.

He claimed he believed at the time it was consensual and she was enjoying it. Lee pleaded guilty to the charges in August and was today sentenced in the County Court in Morwell. He will be eligible for parole in two years, six months.

The Age newspaper: Lee, a masseur for 14 years who was registered with the national body, pleaded guilty to rape and sexual assault.

His lawyer this week called for him to be spared jail because of his mistaken belief about consent, his subsequent remorse and previous good character. He had since split from his wife and was ostracised by his family and friends in the Jehovah's Witnesses church.

But Judge Mullaly said jail was the only appropriate penalty for the "brazen" breach of trust, which had had a significant impact on the woman and her daughter.
