jehovah's witnesses use of 2,000-year-old protocols when dealing with abuse complaints has been condemned in a report by the royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse.. last year, the commission examined the experiences of two abuse survivors within the jehovah's witness organisation.. it also looked at evidence from case files that recorded reports or complaints of abuse by just over 1,000 jehovah's witnesses.

•Opinions that Dr Applewhite expressed were in large part directed to how the Jehovah’s Witness organisation compares with other religious organisations in its response to child sexual abuse. The material on which the comparison could be made was not apparent in the report.
•Dr Applewhite’s report did not include consideration of the experiences of BCG and BCB or of any other survivor of child sexual abuse whose complaint was dealt with by the Jehovah’s Witness organisation. The report is limited to an opinion about the documented policies and other material rather than about the practical application and effect of those documented policies.
In these circumstances, we do not accept the opinions that Dr Applewhite expressed in paragraphs 36, 45 and 46 of her report. The evidence before the Royal Commission reveals serious failures in the practices and procedures of the Jehovah’s Witness organisation with respect to the sexual abuse of children.

I started my first " Mens Gym" session today
by smiddy ini`m no fitness fanatic by any stretch of the imagination though throughout my life i have strived on & off (more often than not , off ) to maintain some level of fitness activity.. i retired about 10 years ago and for the first few years i joined two table tennis clubs , social activity,though not anymore.. and i have become more of a couch potato these past few years with the internet and netflix and the club as my main concern of activity if you can call it that ,and it has been bothering me ,so finally i did something about it.. only a few doors down from me is a medical health clinic with a gym that caters for seniors like myself , so i bit the bullet and joined up .. and i`m proud of it.. if it kills me in the process then i`ll die doing what i want to do at my age.. sorry to bore you with this post ,but what did you expect a future mr. universe ?.

i have known so many jw youths that were very bright and end up working in a job well below their skill level..she is in the 9th grade but algebra 2 her class is all 11th graders.. school "technical academy hs".

That's a bit harse. The correct term is "reassigned to the field." Hee hee hee.
The bookstudy arrangement was chucked out because of Watchtower claims relating to rising fuel costs evidently making it prohibitive for JWs to travel by car, or subway, or train, or bus, or walk to a home in their local neighborhood, or for some in the bookstudy group to walk from their bedroom into their lounge room.
Now kingdom halls are being sold off and JWs are forced to travel further then they ever have in their entire life to reach a hall. Add to this the selling off of Assembly Halls thereby making large gatherings more expensive with more travel.
The Netherlands have never been a good field for Watchtower to harvest in having one of the worst ratios of publishers to population in the western world. Too many tulips and not enough wheat.
