imagine the scene, a comfortable conference room in brooklyn hq, with a round table with a handful of current gb members on one side.
a lone chair opposite is for the prospective new gb members to sit and be questioned as to their fitness.
lett asks, "have maintenance fitted your room with new light bulbs?".
Vidiot: The ultimate circle jerk.
Sparky1: a circle of jerks!
Both wrong.
The ultimate circle of jwerks!

GB: We just need to ask you a few questions before appointing you to the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
BROTHER CANDIDATE: Okay.
GB: Firstly, rest assure that despite the Scriptural requirement of "two or more witnesses" to establish every matter we will not being asking you to provide any Scripturally based evidence or witnesses to establish that you are of the anointed class and chosen by jehovah and jesus.
BROTHER CANDIDATE: Okay.
(Laughter all round)
GB: Do you recognize the faithful and discreet slave as being jehovah's only channel and voice on Earth and upon appointment do you recognize yourself as being part of that slave and hence one of those voices?
BROTHER CANDIDATE: Yes.
(Laughter all round)
GB: Are you acts of pedophilia and child abuse known within the community?
BROTHER CANDIDATE: No, there were never "two or more witnesses."
(Roaring laughter all round)
GB: Welcome brother as a member of the Guardians Of Doctrine.
study article: who is leading god's people today?
start of paragraph 12.. standard version: "the governing body is neither inspired nor infallible.
therefore, it can err in doctrinal matters or in organizational direction.".
"The Governing Body is neither inspired nor perfect. It can make mistakes when explaining the Bible or directing the organization." - governing body of jehovah's witnesses
Ironically this leaves open the option for the current governing body to also claim that this statement was a mistake. Circular reasoning from the Scriptures. You just can not make this stuff up.
What about the first century governing body? Did they also make mistakes when explaining the Bible or directing the organization of upstart congregations?
Many of the current teachings, Bible explanations and directions of the current governing body were never mentioned or practiced by the first century governing body. So which governing body made the mistake?
Did the previous modern-day governing body make a mistake in appointing the current members of the governing body? Seems so.
Imagine receiving a newsletter from your private hospital informing you that your hospital doctor or governing board has made mistakes when providing diagnoses or in administering drugs. Would you not be entitled to a full explanation, let alone the removal of all involved until the matter is investigated and sorted out?
The current governing body of jehovah's witnesses are nothing short of a filthy disgusting disgrace. Make no mistake of that.
very clever.

I like this. I'm off to the workshop to see if I can hook up Siri to a talking bobble head to put on the dashboard of my car.
i just had to note that a comment for a later deeper thought that i found on a network.. is this a clean forum?
because i seems that there critics and active mixed, what would be very dangerous.. "this study guide will not only help you to explore your beliefs regarding blood transfusions and the use of blood, but also help you to explain your beliefs to others.".
what is that...explore your beliefs ....what is that?
help you to explore your beliefs
It's a good thing we having the governing body of jehovah's witnesses to tell us what we individually believe and to give us the answers to questions we never asked.
i think that few parts of the bible can make you atheist or at least agnostic or at least kill your belief in the bible as infallible or the work of a loving god as comparing 2 samuel 24 with 1 chronicles 21. most people focus on the 1st verse, but there are at least 4 major and 1 minor contradiction in the chapter (they are parallel accounts).in the new world translation, 2 samuel 24 starts like this:.
24 and again the anger of jehovah came to be hot against israel, when one incited david against them, saying: “go, take a count of israel and judah.” .
notice that it is an impersonal "one" who incited david to do the census.
You lost me at "in the beginning."
it appears the the commonwealth government is bringing in a national compensation scheme for victims of institutional child sexual abuse with individuals able to claim up to $150,000 each.
it's clear that the australian government will not be able to fund this program without serious money from the offending churches.
so it's bad news for the organization today.. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-11-04/government-announces-redress-for-abuse-victims/7996092.
I put this on another post but thought it would also apply here:
The compensation scheme will be set up by the Australian government.
The victim applies to the scheme for compensation.
The scheme assesses and pays compensation if warranted up to $150,000.
The government can either bill the religious institution for the full amount or require the religion to pay into the scheme according to how many known victims or ordained ministers and/or volunteers the religion has on its books. Watchtower and the JWs hold the record in Australia in pretty much every category.
justice mcclellen asked g.jackson about compensation for victims of child abuse , and mcclellan suggested it be by a consortium of groups , presumably religious and secular in nature as a pool to dispense approppiate compensation to all of the victims involved .. g.jackson hesitated and said they would have to look at the details of that proposal , before committing to it.. jehovah`s witnesses consider themselves as the only true religion and ,all others as false religion .. they take pains to separate themselves from from any association with other religions , not even being included in newspaper notices about church services.they want to keep themselves separate and distinct from false religion as they see them.. so how do you think they will handle this suggestion / requirement ?
will they join in aligning themselves with "babylon the great" in compensation .?.
didn`t they align themselves with another religion in the u.s.a. some years ago , that had to do with the w.t.
