I got an unexpectedvisit from an elder an a new guy i never met before. He said jehovah hasnt forgotten me. They said all JWs are filling out an emergency contact information form. They are getting one for me to fil out. I asked him dont you already have my info.
We started discussing what is truth, from what source do you find it? One of the topics that came up was the flood myth. New guy claimed every single religion/culture had a flood story. I told him that is not true. He then claimed thats how DINOSAURS dissappeared off the earth!!! I Have never heard a Witness claim that the flood wiped all the dinosaurs away before.

someone posted a great idea i felt should have its own discussion thread.

i think it would be really cool if we could get people around the country or world to donate fake money in the contribution boxes that have thought provoking messages.

kinda like money tracts.

So you design or engineer robotics? Have you ever been to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa, USA? They have an amazing program in the field of robotics. I have a brother going there now. Being a professor would you encourage others to further their education?

In the article You mention evolution and the origin of life as well as the fossil record. I was hoping you could elaborate on that for me. What science publications would you recommend for further research. From the books Ive read (eg. The greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins) there is an over whelming amount of fossil evidence. I was also confused why the article equated evolution with the origin of life, two completely different fields of science.

I am sure you are a busy man and I will greatly appreciate any responce.

what is the earliest age you heard someone get Baptised?

i was curious what is the youngest age any jw has been baptised.

i thought it was hypocritical for jws to say wait for marriage because its such a big deal but "why wait to get baptised".

i think my step sister was 11 years old.

i am technically inactive.

i was just curious if there are many people on the inside.

are there any within bethel itself?

Wow thanks for all the responses. I switched congregations then stopped going. Ive been out for several years now. I was surprized how little the jws checked up on me.

I am technically inactive. I was just curious if there are many people on the inside. Are there any within Bethel itself? I dont think I could handle being an elder, MS or bethelite and not believing any more but I do see a benefit of policing what is going on on the inside.

Shepard the flock apostate literature

so not many mainstream witnesses know of the elder books right?

i never heard of them growing up a witness.

i was wondering what would happen someone spread a rumor that shepard the flock was an apostate book.
