Golden Age Quotes--You have to see it to believe it.
by blondie inquestion: will husband and wife live together after the resurrection is completed, if both are in harmony with god?.
answer: the scriptures do not reveal what the relationship of men and women will be after the resurrection is completed.
the most that we know is that there will be no children born during the last 100 years of the millennium (isa.

JWs have more good points than bad
by lsw1961 in1) many who were on the destructive path have been transformed by their teachings (this includes me who was once vicious, and presumptuous and atheistic).
2) equal monthly pay to all members of the bethel community regardless of whether they are bc members or sweepers.
this is something that still remains as an unattainable dream for the world.

I find the tread I little bit amusing. JW good points > JW bad points. But your points though are a good comprehensive catalog of JW ideas, you think obviously very positive.
As for argument 1: Character change into good personality?
I was a well-balanced young teenager with positive life attitude,
meriful and loving, non smoker, I had absolutely no destructive side, i liked the bible., was no atheist.
and they made of me an obeying societyman who had to adopted destructive
unloving teachings false hopes, not allowed to go out, to learn dancing, got socially isolated
and sacrificed my higher education, because the world is evil. Then I had part-time job for pioneering, what was very restrictive for my life plan (as male), everything worthless now.
I had to get rid of the character changes they made with me to become happy and free.
The christian god doesnt want to transform us by teachings, but is mercy, love and loving kindness per see,
I think that it was not the teachings that was so much overwhelming, but more the loving kindness of the JW members that convinced me and that I wanted to imitate.
The pionieer spirit for example, i liked it.
The simple life,
the humble attitude.
Human examples I liked to imitate in my teenager area.
But I think that these individuals who were my good examples, were good people already before they became JW and not only by the teachings and charakter change, they were rather hindered to be merciful by the strict organisation rules.
Some JW had always problems because they could not change their character completly and remained drinkers or had other bad behaviours with wife or family (those underdogs in the congregation i did not want to have contact with then). Logically that they faced constant disciplination sessions by the elders.

If you love her, you should not get in the middle of a complicated foreign marriage and let her go immediately.
She should find out what she wants and deal with her matters herself before implicating you into a prospective later relationship with her.

3. Gods Love is unlimited. Love does not seek a purpose .....like changing our behaviour or attitude or adopting a mindset, God doesn not urge us to believe and not to belong to a certain group. Unlimited love doesnt urge us to repent according to procedures manifested in written menmade laws. Gods love seems to have no benefit at all, because it doesnt aim to get a benefit from us. -

An organsation or individual cant remain in God without constantly remaining in love.
The gospel says "And we have come to know and believe that love that God has for us. God is love and the one who remains in love remains in union with God and god remains in union with him"
Any form of social excommunication has to be defeated and avoided.

1. God lets the Sun shine for evil and good ones, that is a loveing arrangement. Why should we as loving ones not let "shine" our love light for all men but exclude those who are week and struggling with faith, but love God? Loving arrangement always shows love and not limited on special conditions.
2. Loving arrangement would be comparable to a father and mother love who always love children.

Sad that your former friend thinks that you have to repent something and how they see everything from the view "big J will correct all mistakes". She wants to help - and that is a likeable answer and signal - but of course she cannot admit that "big J", as you call him, and his organisation are on a meander.
My uncle is in this moment waiting in the starting blocks too to hand me out the "Return to big J" brochure. The elders of my congregation selected him out to contact me for a "major gift" that he should hand me over. Last time he could not snap me, because I was not at home. On phone uncle said: "If that (ARC) would be true, we would have been informed".

Indoctrination and subordination
by Tornintwo inthere are so many gems in in search of christian freedom but i thought this section in 'indoctrination and subordination' was excellent, summing things up brilliantly, worth highlighting for anyone who hasn't read the book;.
"the sum of the evidence is, then, that although no extreme physical isolation occurs, a very effective mental isolation is pro- duced by the organizations interpretation placed on jesus words about not being part of the world.
the community of believers becomes quite insulated and intellectually sealed off from any source of scriptural material other than that coming from the one voice, that of the organization.

Even “worldly” relatives, meaning non-Witness relatives, are often gradually shunted off to a rather cool and distant relationship.
The Jesus of the gospels is not the leader of an "elitistic" group, who are snobbish and compacent with its "congregational cleaness", "group holiness", while excluding friendship or close contact with "worldly" people.
Jesus sat down on a table with guzzlers and searched association with those that had lost faith, the discharged, lonely, heavily loaded, underdogs so he pointed to his message that god was good.
The faithul ones of the jewish society called Jesus a glutton and drunkard. Matthew 11,19. Jesus did not fit in their picture of a religious, believing person. And if jesus had been a social worker he would not have been treated better. Jesus association with underdogs and contacts with sinners are not very exemplary for our sense, are they not?
Yet I am not better. I avoid contact with underdogs too. I am trained to live and elitisitc way of life, I learned it from the days of my youth, later in the cong, and it remained part of my personality. I more and more avoided contacts within the underdogs in the cong at all. My contacts were with the examplary witnesses. Once I hated to go out and dance, because only worldy guys are doing that. I avoided contact with worldly people in freetime. So I became a lone wolf..And even after so many years of being away I have no Non-JW friends or not even closer contacts to people at all, no circle of friends or good mates.(without my wife and children) Fortunately my wife safed me.
My avoiding of contact to the "world" in my youth lead to social isolation after leaving JW.
The picture of a congregation or "church" that is elitistic detains millions of people who "have the change to live forever" from concact with the Bible or the church.
Faith is not a matter of churches who exclude, but of the individuals.

Good reference. Thanks.
Where faith is trampled down, family ties are cutted, truth is recurved to lie, love is extinguished, you must not be silent.

by Olivia Wilde ini am not sure if it's true but i heard from a good source that wt has given instructions to elders to postponed disfellowshipping members from wrong doing/gross sin until further instructions given by headquarters.
i heard some jws were just reproved either privately or publically.
has anyone else heard anything like this recently?

This is at the larger interest of the organization as this creates no disfellowshipped persons to take revenge on the group by leaking information to the Secular Authorities.Truely a very loving and caring arrangement, again the interest of the group would be more important than the harmful effects to the individual disfellowshipped and the family members.
