Did Jesus attend a "worldly celebration"?

hello community,.

my question in a nutshell is whether there is justification in celebrating worldly holidays, such as the 4th of july in the usa?.

let's look at a parallel.

What is Chanukka?

Prayers of Hannuka candle light festival here from the tube.

So why not, lets celebrate like Jesus did and speak the prayer as he prayed once ago.

Is the jewish culture new for you, foreign? It should not be at all because Jesus was a Jew.

(I once talked with a muslim woman, and she was astonished to here that Jesus was a Jew. "Whaaaat? Not true..... the Jews are cursed"..as this was the most normal matter of the world)

it's a 2014 movie and i'm only watching it now.

it reminds me strongly of the life of jws and ex-jws..

Watched "Insurgent". Tris finally played throught the simulation and got the recorded message that the fractional human society was only a test whether the humanity accomplishes to live together tolerantly.

The indeterminded people, the divergent, who where considered threats to the existing social order, because they think independently and the government therefore cannot control them , are in the end of Insurgent presented as what they really are, not the error in the human society but as its solution.

So we could say that everything that a Jew did is okay for us today if it was specially condemned by Jesus or Apostel, right? Let us see what they did else and was not condemned in the scriptures.

I cant see any reason why we should not take part in this beautiful Festival of Lights even today, if Jesus celebrated it, at least should Jewhish christians be allowed to do it.

i've been out a while and have only put in a rare appearance at a memorial or brief visit at a convention/assembly to keep people off my back, so i haven't kept up on the songbook.

but one thing i've noticed that the org.

has been doing that they never did when i was in is all these "supplemental songs" that keep appearing.

just want to mention that i just posted my 1000th post on here somewhere a few minutes ago.

i joined back in 2009 and was a mostly a lurker for years and asking occasional questions and occasional statements.

but after a few months of those broadcasts the ''floodgates'' have opened.

New "most frustratingly addictive game ever" to play - agar.io

one of my kids got me hooked on this.

it's incredibly simple but also kind of fun and addictive.. you start as a small cell and need to eat things to grow.

that's pretty much the game.. of course as you get bigger you can eat smaller cells too ... and bigger ones can eat you.. as you get bigger you get slower but you can "eject mass" to shrink and speed you up (w key).
