WT and the Illuminati - truth or fiction?
by SnowQueen ini've been reading around this subject of late and it seems to make a lot of sense.
i'm wondering if anyone is convinced and/or has seen anything that can substantiate or corroborate the 'facts' set out in these arguments.. http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/bloodlines/russell.htm.
i was particularly fascinated to read the following:.

I think its a bit suspitious the way the Watchtower claim to read everything published, to really keep "Awake" and on the watch to be ready for Jesus second coming, so how come they never mention the "New World Order"?
Surely this is the Bibical fullfillment of Revelation they have been waiting for, yet have you ever heard them mention it?
Every spotty oink in the world knows about this now, and Iam not talking about Christians, they dont even try to hide it in the news anymore, but do the Witnesses ever mention it?
And if not, why not?

I Believe Catholicism And Its Trappings Are Silly, Strange & Weird!!!
by minimus inmy italian friend loves going to the "feasts" that occur in italy, boston or nyc.
these feasts feature a "saint" with dollar bills pinned around her and they parade the saint in a long procession and chant "viva (whomever)".
they are quite serious about this and are proud to talk about the past generations of observers who appreciated the events.

I like the ones where they wheel out the preserved corpse of some dead "saint" and you get to kiss the blackened toes, nothing weird about that, just think how much more exciting JW conventions would be if they had embalmed Russell and Rutherford and you could get to meet them and shake their wiethered hands, no wonder the Catholic Church is the biggest in the world, they really know how to do religion.

What do you replace it with?
by konceptual99 inso... i am coming to the conclusion that pretty much all of the doctrinal stuff that i have believed for 25/30 years is built on a house of cards and it's about to come crashing down.
question is what do i replace it with?.
my intellectual head says that that whole thing is junk and there is almost certainly no god at all.

I detect a case of confusion coming on, might do to read the Bible, which wasnt incidentaly written by JWs, well, maybe the NWT one was.

Latest "Questions From Readers" - who wrote in with this question?!
by cedars ini kid you not.
the latest watchtower study edition has the following question under consideration in the "questions from readers" article on page 20:.
do jesus words found at matthew 19:10-12 suggest that those who choose to remain single have received the gift of singleness in a mysterious way?.
-
Nambo
I used to pray for a wife so I had someone to go on the field service with when I got home from work.
All being single got me was such guilt at being constantly horny that I disfellowshipped myself.
Hardly consider my lot as being a gift from God, if it was, it was too mysterious for me to comprehend.

What did you eat when you moved out if you didn't know how to cook?

if one day i blow my cover i will have to move out and fend for myself.
my question is what frozen meals or quick fix meals do you recommend for a single guy?

I came out the Navy in 78 and since then I have lived alone so I have honed bachelor cooking down to a fine art, for instance after a hard days mechanicing, I cooked the following:-
Open packet of German Bratwurst sausages and place on grill, turn on and leave, turn over if you remember, if not dont worry as by the time you smell the burning, they would have cooked through to the otherside anyway.
Open jar of Sauerkraut and put some on the plate next to were your sausages will go, sauerkraut is made from vegatables which apparently you need, its easy to prepare, ie you dont even have to cook it, you can keep it for years, no buying fresh down the shop and finding its gone rotten before you can be bothered to do something with it.
Enjoy,
total time spent 10 minutes, 2 minutes of which envolves you actually having to do anything.

Goodness!, I forgot about SAHB, they where my Favourite band in the early 70s, the first concert I went to, I was 16, I asked for my first date, (refused so I gave up with women after that and took my mate instead), was to see the Sensational Alex Harvey band play at Hammersmith Odeon and turned out to be the concert they recorded for their Live album.
Years later, after Alex had died, went to see them in a pub across the road from where I had worked, how the mighty had fallen.
