Found another NWT lie! Romans 6:23 - Wages sin pays is death
by Robert7 inso i was speaking to a pastor friend of mine while i was explaining why i have a hard time beleiving how a loving god could send any of his creation to an eternal hell, and i brought up romans 6:23, which says in the nwt "the wages sin pays is death", and mentioned now when we die, our death covers our sins, according to jws.. he said, no, romans 6:23 says "the wages of sin is death".
very different meaning!
the jw translation means when you die, you sins are washed clean.

"End of All Kingdoms in 1914!" 8-30-1914 World Magazine PDF!
by cabasilas inover the past 50 odd years, an article that was published in a new york city newspaper in 1914 has been quoted several times in watchtower publications.
this article was published in the august 30, 1914 world about pastor c.t.
russell's predictions for 1914. modern watchtower publications omit the facts from that article that show that russell's predictions for 1914 do not match the watchtower society's current understanding of 1914 as a "marked year.

Did The Witnesses Predict the United Nations in Advance?
by TD init's been reported on this forum that bethel speakers at this summer's conventions are asserting that the establishment of the united nations in 1945 was predicted in advance by the witnesses.
this is being presented as validation of the claim that the witnesses are god's one true organization directed by holy spirit.. .
the basis for this claim originates with a public address entitled, peace - can it last given by n.h. knorr at the new world theocratic assembly, on september 20 of 1942. .

God and Krypton
by cameo-d injudges 1:19 and the lord was with judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.
chariots of iron sounds like they had dodge ram trucks or something.
or maybe armored tanks.

"Modern Bibles" New World Translation - Part II
by Perry inbehold, the days come, saith the lord god, that i will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the lord .
amos 8: 11. .
most of us who have been raised as jehovahs witnesses since at least the 1960s were occasionally reminded of the scholarship of fred franz and his command of eight or more languages, including the biblical languages of hebrew and greek.

Why is the Faithful and Discreet Slave thanked in every prayer?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inevery prayer at any meal, congregation meeting, and assemblyhas the fds being thanked for the spiritual food that they provide.jesus gave us an example on who to pray to and what to say.the society or any human were not included and was not ever mentioned by jesus.the society has always included themselves in prayers.
.
do you think that by including themselves in every prayer, they intentionally try to inculcate that into each brain,so that their powers are never questioned?.

by compound complex indear mouthy and other denounced ones,.
you may find this double standard $%^@#@*&!
"in 1975, knorr made a remarkable and candid statement to the governing body, which confirmed his growing disillusionment until his death two years later: ["]'"there are some things i know --- i know that jehovah is god, that christ jesus is his son, that he gave his life as a ransom for us, that there is a resurrection.
