The resolution was actually passed!

who would have thought that enough people would raise their hands when the resolution was put before the congregation tonight?

based on the pledges that the publishers put on those little pieces of paper, the congregation is promising the wts that they will send $1,000/month to support the society's building funds.. there is a traditional monthly shortfall of about $100 with the basic monthly bills usually around $1,000.

i didn't raise my hand.

Have you ever noticed some times that the vote goes through with out any one raising their hands!

What set them a part from other churches. They donate by handing in a slip.

one thing that's bothered me for a while about the use of john 6:68 (oddly, this has always been the bigger issue than the rampant replacement of 'whom' with 'where') was it's apparent condemnation by 2 timothy 4:3.. from the jw bible:.

john 6:68 - simon peter answered him: lord, whom shall we go away to?

you have sayings of everlasting life.".

so, i happened to see a young lady.

she's about 13 or 14, can't be more than 16 years old.

fresh faced, rosy cheeks, and a little pudgy.

I would like a fake one! Just to wear out some day.

Personally I do not like them, but one day a young man had the wizard of oz chracters on his bottom back leg! It was so darn cute! He was with his wife and three tittle children. I said look and evetyone ahhhd over it! and him.

I do not care what these young ones are doing. It is some sort of fad going on. They got tattoo magazines out with competitions. I think it is not my generation and I am not suppose to understand it. One time I saw someone with a whole arm of skulls piled up. At first glance I was horrified but after speaking to the young man it was silly of me. He smiled and explained he owns a shop and has a wife and children and it is a good living. Nothing what I imagined.

Hopefully,I will be around for the next generation of young adults.

ok. now i find myself in an odd situation.

my wife's family, who has let the witnesses walk all over her for 30 years, is trying to play nice.

(mother-in-law is a witness.

Look most people know how to respect a temporarily visiting relative.

If it is not your mother and father leave it to the wife. Stand up for your wife when needed.

And smile at her when she is stressed.

A man who stands by his wife without interferring in her relation is a smart man.

Dump shits cause conflicts and problems.

Would Your Family Stone You to Death?

ot law required jews to take the lead in stoning a family member who became apostate.. the watchtower has lamented the fact that the law of the land now forbids them from doing so.. if the law permitted it, as it does in some musim countries, and if the watchtower required it, would your family obey?.

my parents are good people and i believe their love for me is genuine, but i think they would follow orders.. what about yours?.

Wew,I remember how awful the JWs turned against me! They gave me horrible looks when I was trying to get reinstated. They gowled at me like a dogs.

Anyhow, yes they would have stoned me!

Every time I heard that scripture at the KH,I applied it to the folks at the kh. Elders would tickle each others ears all the time. Good sermon! I've been to several churches teaching false garbage and giving the people what they wanted to hear. Frankly it is because the members pay his salary. Some people could care less what the pastor states because they liked him. I went to one church the guy made complete fools out of the congregation and they clapped.

I find nothing wrong with Peters statement about eternal life which Jesus indeed did offer. He did not tickle their ears because Jesus leads to truths.

Not too sure you have this understanding right. I believe they stayed with Jesus for ever reason you claimed they did not which all equals to a future hope for mankind. Eternal life! I believe their is a diiference between etertnal life compared to JW everlasting life.

Where could anyone go! No place.Only Jesus can offer us true salvation. Other than God's salvation one has no place to go.

People tickle each others ears all the time but they are just empty speeches. Our egoes seemed to desire being tickled. Jesus never had to tickle anyones ears. Peter and thousands of Christians followers knew Jesus was the truth by everything he acomplished.

The Governing Body's Currant Money Grab From The Rank And File Will Only Get Worse And More Oppressive

the governing body are fighting for corporation survival here, and now and they are only going to get worse as the child molestation lawsuits must be paid out so expect more in real eastate sell offs and kingdom hall scemes to rip off the rank and file for every single penny they can get out of them praying on their extreme gulibilty to the limits another words to the breaking point.. this type of double dealing with the hard earned contributions given to support the kingdom halls will very quickly back fire on them causeing more extreme measures to pay the plaintiffs in child molestation lawsuits.

Maybe the GB and WT society are re writing the rules. Individual kh will be responsible for not reporting child abuse cases. Now elders can be sued which will mess over the elders. Slowly the WT society is watching their own backs leaving the poor elder to pay out of pocket.

In the future GB and the society will not be liable for individual kh and elders negligence for choosing to not report to the police.

Just a thought.

Banking extreme amount of money that no one knows the figure. They also won freedom of religion in France case. God only knows how many cases they actually won.

Apostate class was invented by the WT society just like an evil slave class. It so upsetting they invent a class to be shunned and latercwant to kill them!

I never guessed they would go this far!

No my parents would not. They would walk away. My mother carried two siblings up a mountain side during a flash flood. She was ten years old and considered a hero.
