Wactch Tower Society Corporation and Attorneys Vested Interest At Heart
by mind blown ininasmuch as the united cemeteries corporation---of which russell was a trustee-was later found to be a dummy corporation for watch tower assets.. .
"and did you not take title to property as a dummy for the watch tower society?".
in 1910 one of the friends of our society, who had raised some of this wheat, sold it for seed at $1.00 per pound, and donated the proceeds to our society.

I guess I always thought they needed a corp in order to do business and because they announced their meeting, did not see the sinister side of it. I have thought that they were nothing more than a printing corp using religion as a front for years. From what I am reading here, I sense that they are worse than I imagined.

Does anyone remember that the annual meeting of the WT Corporation of PA (I think) used to be announced in the WT mag every year? I remember that. I kinda think they used to meet in the month of Oct. Does that ring any bells with anyone?

My family and I have been voting since 1980. That's the year my son turned 18 and was able to vote and we all decided to make our own decisions. I vote at every election. I agree with Kojack, if you don't vote don't
complain. I think it is so important to vote. People in the sixties died to help others get to vote. I think when you don't vote, you have voted to let someone else make the decisions/choices for you.

I avoid stingy people and agree that JWs are the stingiest people I know.I am usually generous and always pay my own way plus. I do get tired of people who are always asking you to donate for their childen's activites
at school or for something at their church. It is neverending. I give to Goodwill and never sell what I don't need anymore at garage sales. I offer it to someone I know or give it to Goodwill.

Questions From Thinkers
by Perry inhow do you explain david's graphic portrayal of jesus' death by crucifixion (psalm 22) 1000 years before christ lived?.
how do you account for the odds (1 in 10 to the 157th power) that even just 48 (of 300) old testament prophecies were fulfilled in jesus christ?.
in what sense was jesus a "good man" if he was lying in his claim to be god?.

How do you explain the thousands of people who have experienced heaven or hell and have come back to tell us about it?
Who are these people? I have never heard of them.

Glander. Thanks for letting me know what you think about "Fall of Giants."
I hope to do a lot of reading this summer. It's always nice to know what other readers think about what they have read.

How long do you want to live?
by jean-luc picard inso the oldest man in the world, a japanese, has just celebrated his 115 birthday.. i was reading the other day that life expectancy in my country is around 78.2 today,.
that half the people born since 2000 are expected to see 100 years old, and that.
the first person that will live to 150 years old, is already alive.. so how long would you like to live?.

As long as I have my good health and mind. I also believe that the universe was created to be inhabited. Who knows, there may be life out there that we are not aware of yet. I agree what Fernando thinks.
Since I don't believe the entire universe and (100 billion?) parallel universes in the multiverse (physicist Michio Kaku) were created for nothing - I say forever.

They Are an Armageddon Family
by OnTheWayOut inthis is just my musing.
there's no serious controversy in my musings, just ramblings.
i suppose in 30 to 40 years (or less), sally and her brother may be selling the property on the beach at the end of the paved road, so that whatever remains of their family will have a few more million dollars and will be able to pioneer.

That is a sad story. I cannot believe how many lives the WTS has ruined. Their lives remind me of the movie "The Descendants" except that they did not take advantage of what they inherited. What does your wife think about the situation?
