  NOTIFY YOUR HOSPITAL & DOCTORS ABOUT JW SPYS

  i am sending this letter via email to both my local hospital and to several doctors (different version) who have occasion to treat my immediate family.. i thought that i would post such on the db so that others here could also do the same.

  however, i would ask that you do not completely duplicate the letter, in the event that the same hospital or same doctor receive this more than once, and discard it as a hoax.

  please take the time to change some of the wording, and personalize it to your own circumstances.. i will post any received replies, and i ask that others please do the same.. *****************************************.

  PSSSST....I have only read through page one and something caught my eye...in this age of Anthrax, an anonymous letter might not be opened and would more likely be thrown out. At least put a return address, even if it is not yours, and use a good envelope. The mail people are used to getting mail from insurance companies, legal requests for release of records and pharmacutical companies-all have return addresses. An anonymous letter might not only not be taken seriously, but might not be opened.

  Just a thought.

  lisa's mention of junk food harkened me back to memories of sitting underneath the shade of a big oak tree outside the suwannee swiftee convenience store on north forrest street munching on:.

  zingers, the raspberry kind with the coconut on them.. so fess up, what was yall's favorite pioneer junk food?.

  As my sister and I got older my mother had to bribe us to go out in service. The best way to get us to go door to door was to promise we would have Portillo's Italian beef sandwichs (Chicago style) and fries. If she felt especially kind, we would go to Dunkin'Donuts before we started. Then end with a big, greasy, juicy, beef sandwich. Yum! It almost made being rejected at every door worth it.

  Portillo's is a Chicago institution now. He started about 35 years ago and now is all over the metro area selling hot dogs and beef. If you ever get the chance to try it-go for it!

  Turn back on God because of WTS or JW's??

  in my opinion, it's one thing to not agree with organizations that impose certain rules upon it's members, but it's quite another to turn one's back on god himself because of disagreements.

  is there not still some higher power out there who has the best interest of humans at heart?

  how can it be denied, especially in these terrible times, that something or someone is gonna have to step in and take over and end this havoc.

  My mother (life long JW) was just asking me why my older sister (age 43) is so messed up. She was encouraged to chase boys as a teenager, then when the parents divorced (sis age 15), mom realized education was important and pushed that we had to be "independent." Hard to do with this being read to us. Sis ran away at 17, married at 18 and never graduated. Mom cannot see that the JW doctrines and her pushing them on us had anything to do with it.

  I despise these people and always will. I attribute the breakup of my family to their teachings and my mothers being brain washed. My sister now has a brain tumor. My mother said she will pray for her. Big deal.

  I saw IT on Good Morning America this a.m. If Charlie Gibson and Diane Sawyer could master it in 5 minutes, anyone can.

  Also, they are selling the version on TV to corporations, cities, etc. The cities are interested for police...rather than a bike, use IT. Courier companies could also use this type of product.

  The commercial unit they sell to the public will be slightly different and less expensive. It will still go for about 3k....

  Well...mine is so boring. No thought went into it. I stumbled across this board and wanted to post. I looked around the room for ideas on names and saw a box of tissues. Yes, they were Puffs. The only brand my spouse likes. So, Puffs Rule....at least in my home!

  honda shows off new version of its talking robot .

  honda has unveiled an upgraded version of its walking, talking humanoid robot.. it says the new-look asimo can recite programmed phrases and negotiate the stairs better than its predecessors.. .

  it is also much easier to operate.

  the best: as a group they're relatively color-blind (low to no incidence of racism among them ).. the worst: their stubborn refusal to see the good in anyone but themselves!.

  I was recently at a funeral for an Uncle, who was a JW ministerial servant. After the funeral, some of us went for coffee. One of the sisters, long time sis, told a brother (now an elder) that she wanted him to put a good word in for her. Not knowing what she was talking about, he inquired and she asked him to make sure that when she gets to Paradise, after the big A of course, she wanted to be in the vanilla neighborhood! No choclate for me please! (her words, not mine)

  He still looked dumbfounded and she clarified her racist view. He and his wife agreed that being in a "vanilla" paradise, would be better than a "choclate" one.

  This is not the most positive trait to exhibit. Especially talking about paradise. The fact she thinks she will get there is even funnier.

  This was in the Elmwood Park neighborhood of Chicago. An Italian strong hold. If you are not a catholic, you are JW.

  Question For American Travellers:

  how do you feel about travelling by air since the events of sept 11?.

  have these occurences just made you uneasy, or were they enough to put a stop to flying altogether?.

  i told some of my pub buddies that i would ask this question, the news media have indicated that most americans are refusing to travel anywhere by plane at present.. englishman.. nostalgia isn't what it used to be....

  I had a cruise scheduled for Sept. 16 to 22. From Ft. Lauderdale. The cruise line refused to refund or provide vouchers, even though the Sept 11th attack had just occured. I did not want to fly.

  We did. It was lose our money for our cruise or get on the plane. Since this was the first vacation my spouse and I scheduled in 13 years, we went for it.

  I cried on the first leg of the flight, thinking of the people on the planes that crashed.

  I had to fly again in mid-October...the airplane was packed. I was not afaird. (in spite of going through Chicago. The security was terrible.)

  I am scheduled to fly again at Christmas. I will grip the seat handle. I will be nervous. We have to do it though. If we do not, the terrorists have achieved their objective.
