Great looking couple! Great tree too!
Thomas came into chat awhile back and did a lot of preaching then he left. Maybe he just needed some more time to count?

"we're taking a survey," she says, half-joking.
"do you think i should have a baby?
Thanks for posting that Closer, I remember reading it in a magazine. Sounds like all the moms here are in agreement, that story is right on.
Congrats on your pregnancy! Having two is amazing, it just seems right. Mine are five and three and we have a ball.

i noticed in a couple of threads people discussing the impact this board would have on jw's with doubts coming here and reading the messages.
it got me to wondering where most people that post here were at...what stage in their jw/ex jw process...when they started reading and/or posting here.
also curious, when you did come here what was your main focus?
I had been out for four years. My mom kept sending me links to interesting topics and I started lurking. After awhile I stopped lurking and started posting.

should mothers work?.
i was just reading how some tv personnality earns 250.000 a year and pays for someone to mind her children.. isn't this making her job more important than her children?would she pay this much herself for a child minder or is her job more important than being certain her children are recieving the best care?.
thats just thinking aloud ' i'm not sure where i stand on this.. maybe staying home with young children all day is to much for one human prehaps we need to do other things and children don't need their mother all the time and are ok with someone else.. i was looked after by my mother when young who gave up her job when pregnant with her first child.. my wife however was looked after by a child minder while her mum went to work .she feels she didn't miss out and would do the same.
I worked before I had kids and there were women there who had no choice. A good friend of mine was a single mom who got married shortly after I met her. When she was pregnant with her third they made lifestyle changes so she could stay home with the kids. Another couldn't imagine a life more horrible than a stay at home mom. I found her detestable. She had two kids within one year and put her career before her kids. I was working while my husband was getting the plumbing company started. I quit working two weeks before our son was born and within two years had our daughter. He would never allow me to work while the kids are little. I don't mean he has complete control but rather he works hard so I don't have to work.
I can't imagine missing out on the daily happenings at home. Such as the screaming fight I'm going to break up right now.

today as i was pulling into my driveway i noticed two young mormon "elders" at my neighbor's house.
they stood on the porch and watched me pull into my garage, obviously had just been at my house.
i thought for sure they would be marching right over to inquire as to whether i was interested in learning about their church.
refiner: You are right, I was always under the impression the LDS church sponsored their mission but was told the parents have to foot the bill. Some of the young men are quite poor as a result. Parents don't have much choice, the men have to go on a mission regardless of the parent's finances. On the other hand, some of them are riding some nice expensive bikes and wearing nice shoes.
Cello:
Puff: I guess they have the same opening line everywhere. It always gets a quick no from me.

it would have taken more much more time to tell it all.
he told us the meeting would began as soon as the other brothers arrived.
danni: i will give you two.
Danni,
I just read this entire thread and I wanted to thank you for doing what you did. I would have loved to have been there! I am totally astounded at the reaction here. I never would have guessed so many here would stand on the side of the witnesses and attack you the way they did.
Good job.
Hope to read the whole transcript someday.

I have lived in this house for three years. Mormons have been by twice (including their non-visit today) and witnesses have been by about five or six. The first time I flung the door open expecting a friend and it was two dubs I had known for many many years. They about fell off the porch when I answered the door. Wouldn't come in, just stopped by to say hi (lie, they admitted they didn't know I lived here) blah blah blah. Another time a couple I didn't know offered the mags. Not interested, closed door. The rest of the time I ignored the door and went about working around the house. I'll answer next time but I suspect they have written us down as a do not call or some sort of warning.
The mormons are nice, I don't mind them knocking.
