Earthquake in Victoria Australia
by smiddy3 ini ,along with many other victorians in australia,experienced my first earthquake this morning about 9:15 am.. it was recorded as a 5.9 magnitude.and an after shock of 4.0 magnitude.. i was having a lay in bed due to the fact my wife had a bad night due to her health problems which affected my sleep as well.. and i thought geeeze she`s making a lot of racket coming up the passage to the bedroom with her walker and then the bed started shaking like crazy .
i thought my computer`s going to hit the deck along with the printer as other things started to fall over.. our house sits on concrete stumps and the thought went through me that the house could collapse ,but thankfully there was no structural damage that i could find.. apparently it was felt far and wide covering most of victoria / nsw and even tasmania.. anybody else here had a similar experience ?.

It is a classic situation. If this massive corp goes arse up and the spin on effect starts to run there is then a likelihood of war as in times of financial peril governments will manufacture 'a threat' to be dealt with.
But as the queen of England Elizabeth the 1st said "it is very easy to start a war but you dont know how it will end."

and their wives adequately provided for in a similar way ?
nothing from kmart or target ,walmart or whatever.. shoes are probably made from form fit cobblers to fit the individual ?

slightly off tack here. I attempted to converse with an overseers wife at a convention once and there was nothing there, I mean she had no ability to make the simplest conversation. She appeared to be in some state-shock- i dont know. Perhaps newly married to her catch of an overseer and was reeling as to what it meant.
Thinking back i felt sorry for her.

In Australia its my understanding that a "dont watch it" note was sent out so the PIMI didnt watch, but, have no doubts they will be all full- bottles on what it was about. The note may have been from the branch or not but such is the mind set of jw then they would not have watched the 4 corners program.

1995 generation change
by Gorb innow, many years later, i remember the 1995 generation change, very well.. since early youth, hearing my father explaining in field service the 2520 years.
it was his main theme in the field.. with the change my doubts started.
with some jw friends we did not trust the organization anymore.
