i was commenting on another thread about how local kh attendance is down.
memorial attendance was also way down and the circuit assembly had hundreds less people than what is typical.
my jw family has even mentioned it.
Kinda strange that someone frequents a message board that is meant for observation and experience and demands "proof" for any statement of said observation.
In answer to your OP, although there are carts in many places, in NYC I have not seen a group going door to door in many years. That's just my personal observation. If you want proof of residency, well too bad.
I haven't stepped inside a KH in ten years, so I can't comment on attendance. I do see quite a few cars in the parking lot on Sunday. Although the local hall has 3 congo's and many of the cars may be there all day.
I do think that it's fair to say that the wits are on the decline and have been for awhile.
so serena williams lost the us open final 6-2, 6-4 to naomi osaka, her japanese-american opponent.. williams received three code violations from the umpire, carlos ramos: .
1. a warning for illegal coaching (subsequently admitted by williams's coach).
2. a point penalty for smashing her racquet.
Except that Billy Jean King agrees with her. I think she knows a little more about tennis than most who have sounded off here.

Ken Flodin here just reinforced the teaching that only those who are baptized, dedicated and in good standing will survive Armageddon.
Everyone else will be crushed like a glass as useless people.
i haven't been to a kh in decades, so i get the google alerts for jws and i got one featuring a local news channel in brooklyn covering the assembly being held in flatbush, brooklyn.
i'm sure that venue is where the circuit assemblies are usually held, keeping in mind it's summer and that's when the district assemblies are being held.
why are they acting like they're so strapped for cash and now holding district assemblies in circuit assemblies locations ?.
Shirley, up in Newburgh they use the Assy Hall pretty much every summer weekend for District Assemblies. Now called "Regional" Best to you.
that expression is a no-no now.
it is racist and hateful.
some people just need to get the monkey off their backs..
So....come to New York. Order a coffee regular from the black barista and tell him not to "monkey it up." Let me know how that works out for you.
whether you like him or not.... it doesn’t matter.
do you think he will be impeached?
?.
In answer to the OP, it's looking very likely that the Dems will flip the House in the mid terms. If they do, yes, Trump will be impeached.
how many people here can sincerely say those words to someone?
i take it most here do not say prayers, right?
?.
A Salud Giordano! I'll even clink my glass with my wife to you!
my little bethel bird has whispered in my ear some encouraging news.
it has been reported to the canadian branch that some witnesses doing cart work had police stop them from carting in public parks.
the direction sent to the southern ontario congregations is to cease carting until further notice.. this is no joke.. have a jw-free day..
As Sir Elton would say,
Jesus freaks out in the streets handin' tickets out for god.
something which i always found surprising when i attended the kingdom halls i studied was how angry, even vicious, many jehovah's witnesses could become when a watchtower study featured some persons and/or institutions the organization disapproved of, say, higher education and educators, christendom and its clergy, apostates, etc.
many seemed to sadistically enjoy denigrating these persons or institutions when the watchtower study conductor called on them and they were handed a microphone.
i wondered for a long time where this anger came from, and i've developed a hypothesis for explaining this.. according to a book i'm reading by alice miller called "for your own good: hidden cruelty in child-rearing and the roots of violence," children who are strictly controlled and abused (whether emotionally or physically) typically go on to unleash the anger they inevitably felt at their parents, but were never allowed to express, at their children or those around them.
I agree with the OP. So many wits are unbelievably cruel especially when speaking or acting when they think no one is looking.
I suppose that this behavior pales when compared to the overall teaching that everyone you hate is going to be destroyed and soon. Not very Christian at all.
