i have had many insensitive things said to me by some elders, but for some reason one self-righteous elder was always on my case.
he didn't like the fact that i missed meetings, didn't like that i never went out in field service, that i didn't answer at the weekly meetings and he didn't like that i carried my books and magazines in my hands and not a service/book bag.

I got an elder who was trying to jump me into a committee meeting over me shooting a neighbors dog who came into my home and bit me. I shot it with a pellet gun to sting its ass and send it home. He said I had lack or respect for gods creation. I told him the neighbor who was also a jw was lucky I did not shoot it with my AK47, Man was he ticked. The other elder had to almost restrain him.

I have never heard anything about sex toys from the cult one way or the other. But I would have to say that I think it would be frowned upon. In Crisis of Conscience Franz said they was talk of getting into what kind of sex and positions that were OK and were not. Then they decided not to publish these ideas. So they do have opinions on sex between married couples. I can remember my mother having a bible study with a woman who was interested in the cult back in the 70s. She was going to get baptized and then it came up that oral sex was a no no. She said that was a big part of her married life and she could not give up her life style and stopped studying. I can remember that it was a no no to engage in sex play oral or other to orgasm but there was a blurry line between foreplay and pornea.

A Gem I over heard at my fathers mid week meeting
by joe134cd ini overheard this, while my father was listening to the mid week zoom meeting.
apparently all the reshuffling with the bethelites having to do their own food prep and washing was because it would free up space for better utilisation, and bethelites who were needed for these jobs could now be out in the field ministry.
omg😳 i also chocked when i heard that.
