  when i was a kid in the late sixties the type of books we would study was very intense compared to the bull shit pablum that they put out today?

  i mean the finished mystery and others now its these stupid books that don't dive deep into the beliefs.

  I remember being only 7yo and us all studying the Revelation book (first edition). I sat through every book study just looking at the pictures. That was a deep book... bullshit of course, but deep shit.

  Now? It's all pretty pictures and rhetorical questions in big letters.

  I dont see what a newly interested person could get out of it if they were looking for "deep bible knowledge". Even the study edition of the Watchtower is, literally, the same stuff we'd studied over and over but dumbed down.

  I still think there'll be a split within my lifetime. One of the GB or their helpers after this GB are dust will do a Rutherford and start printing their own shit and claim to be "persecuted" and start an off-shoot... which will be whitewashed as anyone who didnt follow him were apostates.

  Any failed Watchtower predictions can be brushed off as "the GB were apostates".

  1917: Board of directors leading
  

  1918: JF Rutherford prints his own shit and breaks away. JW founded. One man leading.

  1976: Governing body leading

  I never used to bother with COs or their wives. They'd be flocked with their adoring fans the moment they turned up in the KH. Elders families usually were in their close circle.

  My mother used to have the CO over for lunch every time. Was so awkward having to watch what you do and say in their presence. My mothers accent changing from Margy Clarke to Joanna Lumley the moment they're here. (UK members will get the reference).

  I understand your point about paying for other people's babies. I wouldn't swap our NHS for anything though. We all use it here in the UK. And sure as hell gonna need it when I'm old.

Because I can't get my head around how anyone managed to ignore his incoherent ramblings, making fun of a disabled reporter, refusal to denounce white supremacists, calling Mexicans rapists, bragging about molesting women etc etc etc
