My son is having a birthday party today
by mrsjones5 inone of his friends can't come because his mother is a jw.
i told my boy he shouldn't have said to the mother what kind of party it was.
he's just having a few friends over for food and video gaming, something his friend has done before at other "worldly" kids' house along with my son.. there will be no beheadings at this party..

I am looking for compression shorts with at least one front pocket.
by Iamallcool ini contacted all of the sporting good stores near my home to look for compression shorts with at least one front pocket so i can put my smartphone in it, so far no luck.
i even googled it too, so far no luck too.
any ideas?

My Wedding Anniversary

my lovely wife was always being harassed by the local overlords for wearing too much makeup, having her hair too wild, and for not being submissive to them.
when we began dating the overlords pressured me to get her to change.

When we began dating the overlords pressured me to get her to change. I resisted totally. When we got engaged, the pressure increased. Again I resisted completely. And after we were married they sat me down for the last time and said that she was a rebel and had to be reined in. If I did NOT force her to change I would not be allowed any privileges. I told them that I fell in love with her as she was and was NOT going to do a THING to make her conform to their rules. And by the way...The priviliges were THEIR'S to dole out as they pleased. I never asked them for any and they could assign them to anyone they felt like assigning them to.
My wife is more beautiful today than she ever was. An indivdual that is feisty and with a unique and special beauty beyond compare. I wouldn't change a thing about her except make her healthy again.

Hubby is doing research on D'fing to present to the CO
by cognac inhe thinks the light needs to get brighter on this so we are going to put a report together to give to the co. it's really bothering him because his dad was d'ffed for over 15 years - he has schizophrenia and even a co said he didn't think he should have ever been d'ffed to begin with.
he went to texas to save a woman from cockroaches - clearly this was because of his mental state.
he got f'ffed for that because they said he cheated on his wife and even if he didn't he had no business putting himself in that position.

I commend your husband for having the principles and backbone to try to right a huge wrong, but I am afraid it will get him df'd and nothing in the borg will change.

i thought it was beautiful ceremony and told my parents all about it.
it was an honor to be there.

As a JW child, were you physically punished for non-performance?
by biometrics ini knew a few jw children who were beaten by their parents for various non-performance issues e.g.
not remembering scriptures, not giving talks .... did this happen to you?.

My folks were not so hard on us until we got into our late teens. THEN, because of pressure from the overlords for us to join the school then to get baptized we got pressured in turn. The physical stuff happened when we were little. But we got the shit knocked out of us at home. Even if that meant leaving the meeting EARLY...LOL
We got it usually for laughing and playing or maybe just talking. We THOUGHT we were talking quietly, but alas we could be heard and my mom would look at us with a smile then make that TISK sound. We KNEW our collective ass was grass when we got home. And we cried ALL THE WAY HOME too. Hoping it wouldn't happen but we got the belt as soon as the front door to the house closed behind us. The belt or my dads woefully accurate right foot right on our asses.
SOME kids got it right at the hall though. Sometimes I felt bad but other times I couldn't help it and I would laugh because we could see through the colored translucent windows on the side of the hall. Sillouettes of angry moms and dads wailing the shit out of their dancing children was either sad or funny, depending on the day, the size and shape of the participants, and the sounds made. I know, pretty messed up of me to laugh, but I was only a kid and some of the kids were shitty to me. LOL

my mom told me she was looking for a certain publication, couldn't find it and earnestly prayed to jehovah god and lo and behold, she found it!!!.
when i told my girlfriend about this miracle, she exclaimed, "it's just like when i pray to saint anthony!
