  If one were to shun and ignore Witnesses does that make one just as bad as them?

  for all the criticism of jehovah's witnesses' shunning policy, if one (an ex jw) were to deliberately avoid contact with witnesses and, dare i say, shun them, does that mean that one is just as bad?.

  Did you / do you have KH Parking Lot Security Duty?

  just wondering if this is only a regional thing.... i've been in two kingdom halls in the 90's where the parking was basically shared or public... so every 15 minutes, baptized publishers (who were not irregular or inactive) were rotated and had to stand outside in all kinds of weather just to watch everyone's vehicles.

  when the weather was nice, it was a good opportunity stretch out to take a break from the borefest.

  but i always thought that this was so contrary to their belief of "putting kingdom interests first"... i even approached an elder one time about this and asked: "why are we putting material things ahead of listening to the public talk?

  I did when i was an attendant. I LOVED it because I could stay outside thye whole meeting if I chose to. In the Roseville Spanish Congo there were residents who would throw rocks at the cars. In west Sacramento cars got stolen and also rocked.

  adventures in service

  so before you all bash me...yes i still go out in service, i know i should stop but i think what happend today you all will find quite amusing.... so i went out with a women who became a witness about 10 years ago.

  she is from a another country and had been df'ed a few years ago but is a "stong" jw now.

  she was talking about some brother who since he has gotten married has been looking old and been growing a beard.

  I wouldn't bash you for going out in service. We should all do what we want to do. And if not...We do what we have to.

  I think it's ridiculous how the wt has one set of rules here and a different set for just about any other place on earth. Nothing speaks to the wt NOT having anything to do with any god like their inconsitency and double standards.

  For those of you who inactive, but not officially DFd/DAd, how do you manage?

  i read with interest the thread about how people who are mentally out yet still attend (some) meetings manage to do continue to do it and it got me wondering, how do those of us who are completely inactive, no longer practicing members of the faith, manage to pull off our new ex-jw life, yet never invite scrutiny or investigation from former friends, elders, etc.. take me, for example.

  i've been out several years now, but have never officially renounced my faith.

  i've never out and out called it a crock of shit to anyone who could make real trouble for me.

  I live my life as I please. BUT, I avoid the uber jw's and their topics of conversation because I find it difficult to not engage them in a debate. My wife is not prepared to lose everyone on her side so I keep my mouth shut as much as I can.

  I would probably say that MY comment was ANYONE'S comment since we read them right out of the stupid washtowel magazine...LOL

  I was going a few years back and didn't comment or even wear a suit. I WOULD wear a tie with my leather motorcycle jacket though...LOL

  My poor wife went to get those big ol' injections in her spine on Thursday and right after she said she would like to go see her Dad. So I dropped her off. She said that his stupid pioneer wife was there and was mad that she showed up. Dumb bitch...

  Anyways, her dad was hungry but miss pioneer was going to get her hair cut and could not be bothered. She said for him to wait a couple of hours and she would be back. Stupid cow with her stupid BOB cut. WTF...Doesn't the Bible condemn women having such short hair? LOL He picks up a pkg of ground beef and asks her again to fix him something to eat and she says that you fix it like chorizo. He said that he doesn't know how to make that either. She left...

  So my wife makes him something to eat and they get to talking about how she is so neglectful and selfish. Her priorities revolve around the stupid brothers and her carting them around. Her dad said that my wife found a good husband in me because I am always there for her and for him too. And that he defends me when people trash talk me. She asked Who the EFF has been trash talking me. He wouldn't name names but said it was not his sisters when she asked specifically if it was any of them.

  He said it didn't matter what people think since he and my wife know I am good and kind. she surmised that it is her uncle...The one who lives next door to her dad that never does anything to help him. Except shun him for being too sick to go to the kh. You know the guy...I call him Count DRUNKula....stupid wife beating, drunken asshole.

  I KNOW I should just let it go but it really tasks me when I think of that hypocritical turd badmouthing me.

  Thanks for letting me vent....
