Different take on John 13:35 (Love)
by Silent_Scream in(john 13:35)35 by this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.. a lot of witnesses like to point to this scripture as evidence of their true christianity, when all else fails.
but when i read it recently, an example came to mind:.
i was at a family reunion years back.

Jan wt 2015
by bobld inp. 4-7 comparing god's kingdom to human gov't.let us look @ the history of god's gov't.he can't control his rebellious angels so he sends them to the earth to cause disturbance.than he drowns 99 % of the human race including babies and animals.he instituted segregation via language.ethnic cleansing-remember the promised land.i don't like a gov't that kills father, mother, children, babies so it can give their property to their friends.. notice p. 7 subjects:did not god's gov't rule the nation of is.
for hundreds of years.look at all the corruption.obviously they did not learn the high moral standards.who appointed king david the murderer.there are many more examples.. p10 husbands make your home secure.why did they feature a black family.i notice more often than not they will do this on moral issues.. .

Another Story about JWs Placing JW.org Tracks
by ABibleStudent inwhile i was writing my 1-page bio to send to managers today, a 30-ish, nicely-dressed jw man and woman knocked on my door.
they wanted to give me a track to visit jw.org.
i don't believe that jw.org is truthful.

Missionary work--Not worth it?
by WTWizard inhow many have done missionary work?
usually, they urged the witlesses to go "where the need is greater" within their own country--often, those assignments are for a week, or several weeks.
however, when you go abroad, usually it is for a year or more.. and it is usually in the dumpy countries.

You know what their magazines kind of remind me of?
by ilikecheese inthe parable of the boastful prayer vs. the humble prayer.
they're basically always saying, "thank goodness we are so holy and not like those crass 'worldly' people.

Experience I had with a JW that called my phone the other day...........................
by andys inthe other day i had an experience over the phone with a jw that knows me and also she knows i am apostate, it was a coincindence on how this all happened, i had a talk with my roommate and told her that i want to move out of the house and find my own place so i be out on my own again, my roommate told me to put an add on craigslist to rent out the room in the house also i put my phone number out there on craigslist for anyone to call on the room, i all of a sudden get a call from this jw that i knew, she was looking for a room for her newhew(he is not in the jw religion) but right away she recognized who i was, this is how the phone conversation went:.
me: answer the phone, yes i have room for rent on craiglist (right away i recognize her and she recognizes me).
she: asking me about the room but also i can hear rudeness in her voice and at the same time i can hear in her tone of voice she is like uh-oh i am talking to an apostate so she is talking in a very careful way like i want to run away or get off this phone.

Do you judge your jw mate for their decision to become a jw?
by marriedtoajw ini try not to but i struggle with it alot.
being raised catholic i was subtly taught to respect others beliefs.
they have a right to be wrong i thought.
