Whenever there is (..............) in the quote, one can be sure that it's there because they don't want you to read the words in it's place. The missing words at times can alter the meaning of the sentence. Always worth investigating! Nice find DD.

WTS closes/dissolves 435 congregations in 29 countries
by Gayle inas listed in 2013 yearbook.. yes, most countries have increases in congregations.
most of the countries that have less congregations than last year, show 1 or 2 less.
however, poland shows a dramatic 327 congregations less, from 1,814 (2011) to 1,487. netherlands, 25 less congregations.

Cedars, I think what may have happened with Poland is they've all come to the UK. There's been new Polish congregations/groups here.

Horrible day
by 88JM ini just had to come on here and vent - i'm having a horrible day.. firstly, had to sit through a horrible public talk about obedience to the "superior authorities" (whoever they decide that is this week) - all kinds of crazy stuff taking verses in romans way out of context.. then had to sit through that hideous watchtower defending david.
one brother actually used the words "we want to follow in david's footsteps" - i was nearly ready to vomit.
just a total gloss-over.

I find myself in positions like this too. I try and make comments if I can, for instance I would probably have gone on to say how evil pedos are and how cunning and manipulative they are (Jimmy Savile case for instance) and not allowing them to get away with it. It can get them thinking and talking and without you coming across as an 'apostate'.

You're right 00DAD.. God has got absolutely NOTHING to do with this religion. It's all a sham like all other religions. Reading the words of Christ and the love and compassion he showed negated ALL religion (including the Hebrew one he belonged to).
True christianity does not behave like this. It doesn't tear parents and children apart. It doesn't force people to follow men. It shows love, compassion, mercy and kindness.
My heart really goes out to you 00DAD, having adult sons myself like you, I can't begin to imagine how unbearable it must be!!

What evidence is there for Jesus (NOT USING THE BIBLE)?

or 'well pontius pilate existed we found a stone with his name on so it follows jesus existed!

mp... you've got the wrong Jesus. Josephus was writing about the time after Festus had died and Albinus had taken over as procurator of Judea in 62AD. Jesus Christ brother of James died many years prior to this so could not have been the Jesus he mentioned later.
There were many named Jesus during this time and this 'Jesus' was made high priest, he would not have been known as the 'Christ'.

There was also a character called 'Reniaa' who was also accused of being multi persona/ multi accounts.. also a JW apologist, a few years ago... used exactly the same tactics as 'Legion'.
