Ozzie's Weekend Poll #160 - Why no windows?

G'day all,
It seems a long time ago now, but we used to regularly have an Ozzie's Weekend Poll - kinda weekend stuff, y'know? They ran weekly for three years but they faded - my ill health didn't help.
Anyway, it's Sunday evening downunderneath youse lot and things seem to be kinda quiet on the board - (where the hell are ya??? ) so let's go polling, eh?
This weekend's poll question is;...........(drum roll)............................
Why don't they build Kingdom Halls with windows in the USA?
1. They forgot.
2. Building committee forgot to order them.
3. To stop people looking in.
4. To stop the R&F looking out.
5. It's cheaper.
6. Something about "antitypical tents™" not having windows.
7. To stop any "new light™" escaping.
8. Fulfilling their civic duty to support the power companies.
9. They don't have glass breakage insurance.
10. Other (please detail)

Ahh, takes me back to my college (Uni) days! we'd gather in a pitch black cavern at lunch times (and beyond!) with Stones at meg decibels. That was before they were legends, still the 'bad boys'.

Why does the WBTS keep confusing 'rulership' with 'kingdom'?
by Must obey! ini get annoyed at how the society keeps harping on about how 'the kingdom' of god is actually a heavenly governmental rulership, made up of 144,000 & christ.
for example, this quote in the study article about god's sovereignty just reviewed:.
"a sovereign generally exercises his authority through an agency that is placed over his subjects.the kingdom of god, therefore, is an expression or exercise of god's universal sovereignty toward his creatures, a means or an agency used by him to carry out his rulership.".

Why don't I see any pastors or clergy on this forum?
by moshe init just occurred to me that i have never seen a member on jwd who was a minister/priest/rabbi/monk,friar,shamman, etc.
maybe i have just missed their posts and then again, maybe they don't come here for some reason.
i know they must come in contact with jw's and ex-jw's all the time.

It's really hard because for some reason the Pastor seems to like to try to talk to us and is constantly trying to talk to us when we are outside.
Isn't that what neighbors are for? Perhaps he's just being a good neighbor. What does he talk about?
I hate talking about religion.
Perhaps he does too. Most I know do. Remember, his faith may be quite different to what you've experienced at the KH - a personal faith, rather than 'a religion' or an "Organisation™"
