So Will This Be Your First Christmas?

funny how the prospect of christmas takes me back to my pre-dub days as a 7 year old.

christmas eve was spent making my present request list, duly guided by both my parents as to what to ask for.

once completed, the coal fire was stoked up and the precious list was allowed to be carried up the chimney where waiting elves promptly delivered my requests to santa.

Jw kids get presents all year round.You mean they peddled that crap all the way to ENGLAND,unbeleavable!My parants used to say look at those poor children they only get gifts on holidays.Who did they think they were kidding.As a little kid I knew they were full of crap,but I didn`t say so,because I didn`t want a beating for speaking my mind. When I had my kids,I wanted things to be better for them,so I started having christmas,for them.It took me awile,but the more I did it,the better I got.Now we have wonderful christmas`s.The house is decorated,the tree is up,friends&some family visit though the holidays.It is a wonderful time of year,I wouldn`t give it up for anything.If you haven`t done it before,give it a shot,you won`t regret it.Like ENGLISHMAN says,GO FOR IT!!!

red or white,domestic or imported,a good wine can really accent a fine meal.one of my favorite red wine`s is a bordeaux from france,b&g 1725.inspired by the barton&guestier tradition which dates back to 1725 in boudeaux,fondation 1725 is a dry fruity wine with a deep garnet colour and rich,lasting aromas.merlot and cabernet sauvignon grapes confer strong flavours of black currant,violet and spices.it is excellent with red meats,poultry and cheeses.i also like to use it for deglazing when making gravies or sauces.enjoy!!

trick or treating

of all the holidays, for me halloween has the least appeal.. i have a memory of going trick-or-treating once, at my "worldly" father's insistence (he roasted peanuts in the oven for the door-knockers... i remember), about the time my mom learned the truth.

i must've been about five years old.. despite the fact that i'm a hard-core agnostic and a fear of gods or demons are a non-issue, i still have trouble encouraging kids -- under the guise of costumes and fun -- of extorting treats from neighbors.

can i get a witness?

Hallaween is a gas!My kid`s alway`s enjoyed it. I took them out and they alway`s came home with a big haul.Through them, I got to enjoy thing`s I wasn`t allowed to do as a kid.Enjoy your kid`s, it`s worth it!

the book "obsessive love" by dr. susan forward, bantam books.

unfortunatly, this book describes me almost to a tee.
