  The parks controversy seems to have exposed a long-simmering resentment of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, also known as the Watchtower, for planning to leave a city that has enriched the religious group exponentially, community leaders say, yet to which it has given little in return.

  “They are the biggest land tycoons in my neighborhood,” Doreen Gallo, the executive director of the Dumbo Neighborhood Alliance, said. “They got to flip commercial manufacturing land for residential developments and now they are flipping it again and leaving.”

  the 2016 january tv.jw.org broadcasting has a clear message: jw.org needs more money!.

  the 2 months of donation increase is not enough: the thousands of projects are not a 2 month project.. so: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (heh heh heh) and send us more!

  personal conclusion: if i had any doubts that the society is sincere, this openly money grabbing has made my perception complete.

  the 2016 january tv.jw.org broadcasting has a clear message: jw.org needs more money!.

  How do you tell your spouse you no longer believe in God?

  so i was hoping to get some insight on this subject of telling your spouse that you no longer believe in god.

  for two people who have been jehovahs witnesses for 20 years together, talking about this seems to be real hard for me.

  i still pray with my wife before meals but that's about it.

  i drive pops to meetings, and drop him off on saturdays for fs.. well yesterday, the elders ask to speak to me, and tell me that if i plan on returning to jehovah, i had better shave my beard off..

  parents split and kid never goes back to the hall again.

  What did being a JW teach you?

  these are some of the things the wbt$ 'taught' me:.

  dishonesty is fine if it's to trick people into joining the cult.. if your spouse stops believeing, the best thing you can do is break up the family.. the laws of the governing body overrule any other laws...or else!.

  my friends are conditional.. avoid loving people, they'll only let you down or get df'd.. unintelligent dumbos are better than intelligent ones if the dumbos are elders or above.. hate is better than love.. i am not good enough and god will probably enjoy killing me.. demons will appear in my room at night.. ignore practicallity if being practical or loving prevents the leaders getting money or praise.. god hates.
