Nothing. All churches are in decline, therefore, decline for Watchtower is inevitable.

What can the leadership at Watchtower do to turn things around?
by UnshackleTheChains inlet's play devils advocate here.. put yourself in the governing body's shoes.
they are well aware of all the issues they are facing.
they know their numbers (they 'do the math' as they say in the us).

Lunar Eclipses and 607/587 BCE as the date of Jerusalem´s Fall
by ILoveTTATT2 ini am doing a very extensive document, it is a work in progress, that details how to know, just using a list of eclipses in the 6th and 7th century bce, excel, and knowing how to read lunar eclipse graphs and maps, that jerusalem fell in 587 b.c.e., and not 607 b.c.e.
as the watchtower states.currently it is in spanish, but i intend to translate it to english later.for those who speak spanish, here it is:.

Good work. I wish I could read it. But this sort of thing is what is needed: show, don't tell. Or maybe rather show AND tell.
The Gentile Times Reconsidered is an awesome book and a must read for any JW waking up. However, what I wished at the time when reading it was more astronomical data laid out. For instance, instead of just telling me about astronomical tablets (such as VAT 4956), I wanted to actually see it. Carl Olaf Jonson was more detailed on these matters when he critiqued Watchtower's 2011 articles.

Must We Always See Heroes OR Villains?
by TerryWalstrom invillains can be heroic.
recite statistics of only the worst or exclusively the best of any person and a distorted conclusion is easy to reach.. __________.
"by the end of his term, president ronald reagan's 138 administration officials had been convicted, had been indicted, or had been the subject of official investigations for official misconduct and/or criminal violations.".

People are often the products of their environment. But often views evolve over one's lifetime.
If ten years ago, someone were to ask me whether gay people should marry, what would I have said? What came out of my mouth would've been the product of JW indoctrination. It would be very different than what I would have said now.
I doubt history will ever quote me about anything, but if it does, I hope I'm on the right side of it.

Cedars has flaws and has made mistakes, but I think the accusation crosses a line. If the person has evidence, they should go the proper authorities.

That's the hype, but Freddie didn't always adhere to it.
For instance, charis is sometimes translated gift and sometimes 'undeserved kindness'.
He could be fast and loose when he wanted to be.

When You Were A JW Did You Ever Stand For The National Anthem?
by minimus inas a witness i always found a way to not have to embarrass myself by sitting down for the national anthem.. i’m curious.
how many of you stood up for the patriotic song?.

Yep, the rule was, you had to sit during the anthem...UNLESS the flag salute came first, and since you were already standing for that out of respect...
In public school, I complied and it sometimes made me a target of teachers. I often tried to avoid being anywhere where this might come up, if I could do so. For instance, rather than attend a pep ralley, I sat outside the gym and read a book.
None of these rules made sense to me even then. I could not effectively explain to myself why I had to sit during the anthem, but stand during the pledge (unless the pledge came first). In retrospect, it all seems designed to make a JW stand out.

School inspection is just like a CO visit.
by pleaseresearch inso our school has just had the school inspectors in, looking and observing lessons.
the similarities with a co visit is uncanny.. how well behaved teachers, members of staff and pupils are..

JWs are some of the most superstitious people on earth.
