Sad. I guess the kids don't qualify to sit at the cart, so they have to wait in the car.

The GB, including Splane, do lots of things above their paygrade. In the real world, they'd find it hard to function.

Bunker Video Sparks Family Drama!
by Wasanelder Once ini guess you are guaranteed to survive the "great tribulation" if you don't be a "kevin".
my family members are doubling down on their fervor about meeting attendance.
they are having an effect on some of my wishy washy long time inactive family.

How Many People are Living a Lie?
by awokenjw inone of the things i often wonder about at the meetings is how many of these people are actually living a lie or sinning in secret?
and more importantly, how do these ones stomach it?
in my case, i have secretly dated and done things disapproved by the wt with a pioneer sister in my congregation for years and we both go to the same meeting twice a week and pretend everything is perfect and nothing has happened.

Before I woke up, if I "sinned", I reported myself to the elders, even private bedroom matters between me and my then wife. I was taught if I did otherwise, I would be destroyed at the Big A and God would remove his blessing from the congregation. I also didn't want to be a hypocrite.
Of course, now that I woke up, I realize what a big mistake all that was! Never again!
I don't know how a person can be an indoctrinated JW, especially a pioneer, and violate Watchtower rules. The guilt must eat such a person alive.

Musicians Who Died in the Last Year - or Through the Years- Who Do you Miss Most ?
by flipper ini think for me in the last year the death of david bowie got to me the most.
not only in the way he handled his demise so classy by even making a song about it and a you tube about dying and sharing it with fans, but just his whole persona i always thought was pretty cool.
plus i enjoyed a good many of his songs.

Need Suggestions/examples: Guide to helping family & friends break free
by LisaRose ini was going through my copy of steve hassan's combating cult mind control and it occurred to me that it would be great to have something like this specifically for us ex jehovah's witnesses.
while this is a great book, the examples he uses are mostly from people that were moonies, as steve is a former moonie and many people that have contacted him for help were relatives of moonies.
while cults all work basically the same, it would be nice to be have some ideas on things that are specific to jehovah's witnesses.

Most of his suggestions are oriented to non-cult family talking to a first generation recruit.
The job of those of us who are second, third, fourth generation cult members waking up and trying to help our family and friends is very exponentially difficult.
