Do US JWs Still Knock on Doors?
by cultBgone inthis may sound like a silly question, but do jws even door-knock any more?
the few i know only speak of "manning the cart" at some public location, and because they get defensive if i even ask an innocent question like this i thought i'd ask it on the forum.
thanks!.

Does anyone has a translation of the full letter?

Where this poll and the Watchtower’s statistic intersect is impossible to say. Watchtower counts active JWs only. The Pew Poll will likely be these as well as those who identify as JWs in whatever way, inactive, even DFed, former unbaptized publishers, Bible Studies, raised in a JW household but never really made any sort of commitment. If counted, I suspect the number would likely be double than merely counting active JWs, as reflected by Memorial attendance.
Those who leave the JW identification (as reflected in the Pew poll) would likely come more from the nebulous group, than those active. However, to some degree, I’m sure the same proportion of dropouts are reflected in the active count as well.
There were 136167 more active publishers in 2014 than in 2007. Most of these were likely Spanish speaking.

JW UN Rumor
by ivanatahan inyes, i have returned.. a short recap of major events since my inactivity began: i finally revealed to my parents that i do not believe the same thing they believe in (after i was caught smooching my girlfriend by a family of good-for-nothing pieces of human feces), and of course they view themselves as failed parents who were unable to brainwash their children.
that is, of course, the reason why they are much more controlling over what i do in my life now (my mom even tried having a "bible study" with me).
i told them everything and i was unable to dent their jw imposed mind force field, while also exposing a clear jw misunderstanding of probability, evolution, history, logic/reason, and the big bang theory.. in a conversation i had with my mother a few weeks back (i also heard this rumor before, but my mother told me it again), she mentioned how the un held a summit of all religions and when the jws presented themselves and mentioned their preaching work warning of the coming un ban on religion (referring to an international organization who can't even prevent genocide, much less impose human rights), a un official came up to the jw who presented the cult and told him to "speed up the preaching work", because they plan on doing the ban soon.. it saddens me to think of how ignorant jws are in relation to the principles upon which the un was founded and being unaware that the un at least has some sense as to not ban religion, but this rumor, as ridiculous as it is, needs to be put at rest.

I heard basically the same variant, only it was a pioneer talking to a UN official in an elevator. Perhaps the pioneer was visiting the UN as a tourist.

Actaully the black demographic had a 5% increase. Of course, I wonder how many of those are immigrants as well. -

They do have education reported from 2014, but not 2007.

This is a change from 7 years ago.
In 2007, it was 48% white, 22% black, and 24% Latino. There has been quite a demographic shift.
