WT cash flow speculation
by campaign of hate inso it was reported that the wt made $60,000,000 in canada last year (?).
working on the assumption that this figure is from not only donations, but from property revenues and other ventures from the branch, we get a figure of $528 per publisher, per year.
the calculation: 60,000,000 / 113,617 (2014 av pubs) = $528 a year per publisher.

They're Making it Impossible to Fade
by DarioKehl infor those of you who have already faded due to family still being in, have you noticed how the noose is tightening?.
if it's not memorial, it's special day assembly.
if it's not that, it's convention or the special talk.

I haven’t been to a meeting in over two-and-a-half years. The COBE called me after the remnants of a hurricane came through and since I didn’t know who it was, I answered. Now I’ve programmed his number in my phone and know not to answer. I usually screen all my calls anyway. If I don’t recognize the number, I don’t answer.
Some months later, it snowed, and another elder was calling around to let everyone know the meeting was canceled. I didn’t answer and it rolled to voicemail.
I haven’t heard anything since. I purposely moved my records to a Hall outside the ‘territory’ I live in. I attended that hall about a month-and-a-half before I quit. A handful of people there knew me or vaguely knew who I was in relation to relatives. By and large, I’m betting they likely forgot I was there.
Elders are very busy doing the busywork that maintains their position. They’ve little time to drive outside their territory to visit someone they do not know or hardly remember. I’m not the only ‘inactive’ person out there either…there are likely several dozen.
There is lots of transition in the area. Congregations and even the circuit being re-orged. It’s easy to get lost in the mix.
Of course, there is always a slim chance I get recognized on Youtube. But then, they would have to take the effort to figure out where my records are parked to come after me. They’ve much bigger fish to fry. -

Anyone Know what happened to the Video that's brought down many JWs to Ex-JW land?
by PokerPlayerPhil ini've been looking for a video done by someone who shows the warning by jesus saying "if anyone comes to you and say's "the appointed time is near" you are to run from them!
two people who left the watchtower said this has been one of the most powerful videos to get inside the heads of really smart elders and witnesses that don't come the regular way.. the gist of the video is the watchtower wrote a book called "the appointed time is near" and this goes against everything jesus christ warned people.
the problem with the watchtower's followers is they need "omens", "portents", "signs" to keep their followers following along their path lead by that dried up old carrot (the end) or (the appointed time).

In Russell's Studies in the Scriptures series of books, The Time Is At Hand was the title of the second.

607 article on JW website
by Pubsinger inhttp://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2011736.
i've not bothered to read anything on this for years as i addressed it personally years ago.
but in this official article they appear to be focusing all their argument on the '70 years' part of the debate.

The Gentile Times equation is still in play. Last October, they piped a video into all the Kingdom Halls during the service meeting which was a demonstration on how to explain 607 BC + 2520 years = 1914 to a householder.

Getting 'apostates' to take "coordinated action" is like herding cats.
The Internet has really help slow growth and facillitated the exits of many already. Growth will continue to slowly decline.
Over the long term, the Watchtower will crumble entirely. But it will not happen overnight.

I'm pretty much the same person I always was deep down. I haven't gotten any worse for leaving, and perhaps a bit better in accepting people, being open-minded. I'm by no means perfect, of course.
I tried a drink with vodka. It was pretty good. I stopped at one drink. I likely won't make it a habit as I am dieting. Nothing much changed. I'm now thinking that an occasional drink in moderation might actaully be benefitial.
